I went in today with a puncture on my van and even though the team were really busy, Jo fit me in and saved the day. The team in the tyre shop were very friendly and helpful too. Jo is an amazing employee, so efficient and polite even when busy in the shop. I heard her talking to other customers, she is a credit to the business and I hope she sees this and receives the recognition she deserves.

The staff are amazing at this garage especially Jo on front desk, she has excellent customer service, and is friendly,approachable,helpful and extremely knowledgeable. This lady goes above and beyond to communicate effectively. I have been coming here a few years and had no issues and my car is running great.

Awful experience, bad attitudes and incredibly unhelpful.
I recently joined the halfords motoring club which gives you a free MOT so i took my car in for it?s MOT, it was failed on 2 front tyres, a hole reaching the cords supposedly.
This meant that i had to pay for 2 new tyres that ultimately i couldn?t afford, something i haven?t budgeted for and left my finances crippled.
The first problem: they claim to not be beaten on tyre prices. Quoted me £535.98 for 2 new tyres fitted. Mr. Tyre just up the road? £390 fully fitted. So Halfords are overcharging right after failing my MOT putting me in a position where i feel i have to get those tyres at that price.
The second problem: their attitude when serving has been appalling, it?s like they can?t be arsed with me and with a look that makes you think you?ve done something wrong.
The third problem: The incredible unhelpful-ness. Mr. Tyre told me that they wouldn?t have failed the car on it?s MOT based on the tyres but that they would need changing soon. They also said they wouldn?t charge for a retest. Halford failed it and said oh btw it?s £20 for a retest.
It wasn?t until i put my foot down and stood my ground that they told me actually as i?m a member it?s free for a retest!!!
Mr. tyre also advised that they only need to check the tyres over which is what it was failed on and would be a 2 minute job and so to get Halfords to do that. Again, it wasn?t until i stood my ground on this point that they suddenly said ?we?ll retest today?
So 4 things driving a terrible experience. DO NOT USE THEM!

Very bad. Took car for service and 2 new tyres on a Saturday. Asked manager to make sure new tyres went on rear axle but could tell he disagreed and wasn't listening. Sure enough on return new tyres were on front axle. Insisted they changed them as I was travelling next day. They got very nasty as was 16.30 and they wanted to be off. Took car but it was shaking badly at speed. On the Monday took into National Tyres in Colne who told me the wheels hadn't been balanced and the alignment I had paid for was shocking. They balanced for free as part of Halfords but said to take back to Halfords and complain and get it properly aligned.
Following day I returned and got a shocking reaction from the manager who insisted new tyres should go on front axle and refused to redo the alignment, said it was my fault for insisting they were swapped over and was unreasonable. Refused to accept tyre oversteer was dangerous and that I could not drive it in that condition. I asked to make a complaint which he refused to deal with.
On getting back in my car and making a call I lipread one of their fitters (grossly obese, tall, blonde, ignorant guy) talking to his mate and saying he would lay me out. I got out of my car and asked him to repeat what he said. He declined and waddled inside.
I took my car for to Kwikfit to sort out another problem Halfords caused and also get discs changed which Halfords report said needed doing the following week. Kwikfit said the discs were fine. I then rang Halfords again to make a complaint, finally spoke to a regional manager who promised he would look into. Never heard anything more from them.
6 months later went to Halfords Reading for 2 more tyres (surely couldn't happen again !) Yes it could !
How many oversteer accidents (quite possibly fatal) have Halfords caused by putting new tyres on the front axle ??!!

Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs
I booked an appointment at Halfords Auto Centre Congleton to have two tyres fitted, even took the day off work to get it done. Fifteen minutes before my scheduled fitting, they called to say they had received the wrong tyre ? one was a run flat, and the other wasn?t. How does a big company like Halfords make such a basic mistake? You would expect better from them. Complete waste of time ? avoid at all costs!

Took my wife's car here as it was part of the network supported by the AA. They misdiagnosed the issue on the car and replaced a part that wasn't damaged. I took it to a garage in Whaley Bridge who diagnosed the issue and repaired.
I'm out of pocket and truly disgusted by there service

Terrible experience! I took my car in to have 2 new tyres on the rear. I was told that the alignment was out and that they would sort it for me, only to have them make it worse! When I took it back the next day, they agreed that it wasn?t right and that they?d re-align them. When they had finished, I was told that the reason it was wrong was because they ?hadn?t tightened a bolt up properly?. I?ve now had to take it to another garage as the camber still appears to be out. COWBOYS!

Promised to call when work was complete , as I was walking round the streets while waiting. I gave up and went back after an hour and a half to find car had been completed. They had sent a email to say it was completed instead. Also stated all tyres were fine when two were being changed that afternoon.

Lucky that i cant give it less than 1 star? as soon as they walk into the place they try and make money out of you by selling stuff? Had my MOT done here and they put new tyres on and ?realligned? it. As soon as i got my car back it was pulling to the right later being told by another garage in congleton that the allignment was done incorrectly it has put my family at risk and certainly my children. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Also women on the desk tried to say that i need ?amg? brakes on my car when it is not an amg? these guys have no clue or care about your vehicle they just need to hit a quota every month to sell parts like brake pads and discs etc.
Look elsewhere in congleton or the nearby area unless you want to be ripped off??
