I?ve never had a bad experience with this shop. All staff are friendly even when I have returned items. There has also been many occasions where my little boy has been court short needing the toilet and unlike other charity shops close by they have been more than helpful.

I recently picked up some jeans and proceeded to the tills tp pay. A woman served me and was joined by a man (whom worked their) in his 50's, I went to pay and proceeded to get my wallet from my rucksack, this appeared to arise suspicion in the man who then moved round the counter, came around the back of me, I turned round and he was checking in my bag. I glared at him, he knew I knew what he was upto and skurried behind the till. So now you shake down your customers - I was so angry at this behaviour. I carry a bag to put things i have purchased in - that does not make me a criminal. I will not be buying or donating to you again..Whilst I understand shoplifting may well be an issue for all stores, this treatment is unacceptable and I was made to feel like a shoplifter.

I find the store in Congleton to have raised the prices to high it used to be so busy to none going in anymore ?The prices are ridiculous?

Terrible attitude from the staff. My elderly mother went in a few weeks ago with some books and was spoken to very rudely by one member of staff who told her ?we don?t take books and no other charity does either?! Well I know that?s not true. There was another customer there who said to my mother, they are having a refurb( as if that is an excuse to talk to my mother like that.) So she took the books to another charity round the corner and they couldn?t have been more welcoming. A few days ago I went in again with my mother and she asked a woman there if they had something and she was met with a very abrupt response. We will never go there again!

Annoyingly closes earlier than advertised on Google. Door signs says open until 5:00.

Very helpful staff. We dropped off a donation last week and included a set of CDs by mistake. We called in yesterday on the off-chance that they were still there and Jo & June couldn?t have been more helpful. They even allowed us to check through donations that hadn?t been put in the shop yet. We were delighted to find the missing CDs, which had sentimental value to us. Thank you so much.

The guy who works there seems to be a bit of a jobs worth and doesnt seem to be really that interested in your donations.They say charity begins at home.It certainly doesnt start at Barnados Congleton.Better to take your donations elsewhere.
