Very poor service at Chester. Not across the board though, I think the waiter assigned to our table was just very poor. A few people on other tables complained and one table refused to pay full price. He was polite enough, but left us waiting a long time, didn?t clear dishes, didn?t bring the pasta crisps and didn?t bring over any children?s crayons even though we asked.

Astley was very personable and friendly. They provided top notch service even though the wait was longer than usual. This wasn't an issue in the slightest as we felt looked after. Its was a calm and relaxed visit. I left happily full and contented. Thank you.

We?ve been to zizzi a couple of times and have always enjoyed the experience. We decided to come to the Chester restaurant during a midweek getaway. We were told on arrival that there was a 40 minute wait for food, we were happy with this and ordered a drink while we waited. It was 6 o?clock when we arrived and we got the majority of our food at 8.45 (one starter was brought at 8pm on its own). We were given a free drink for the wait, and when we asked for a discount on the bill due to the horrendous waiting time, this drink was re put onto the bill then taken off again to show a discount. The food itself was fine but we were so hungry at the point it arrived neither of us really enjoyed it.

I don't know if it's under new management or anything but wow! Absolutely incredible! From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was warm and attentive, and the quality was nothing short of outstanding. Every detail was clearly thought through, creating an experience that felt both personal and unforgettable. I left feeling genuinely impressed and already can?t wait to return. Highly recommended!
