I wasn't a customer here, I came here because I was really ill and needed the bathroom. The staff were so kind to me, they checked in on me and gave me water it was very sweet.
I will 100% come here when I am up for a drink just due to the sheer kindness they gave.

Blond female Bar staff member, extreamly rude. Waited close to 10 minutes to be served. Even though she knew we were there and waiting she still had no intention of serving me or my friends.
I Think she was going for tips off the best dressed rather than good customer service.
Thankfully a male bar person seen this and eventually served us. I will never return to this pub.

My visit was really enjoyable, food was delicious and came really quickly. Bar staff were knowledgeable friendly and attentive and the venue was clean and lively. Would recommend 10/10

A very convenient spot directly opposite the train station. Train times are on real time display. We arrived and stopped to have a quick breakfast before heading into town. Both my carnivore husband and my vegetarian daughter were catered for with no complaints. The food was tasty.

Avoid. The strongbow dark fruit tasted funny and I had bad guts all day after drinking in here. The food looks nothing like the pictures, portions are tiny.

After using the app we were informed the app wasn't working they took the payment but refused to refund. We were told we need to reorder at the bar repay to receive any food and drinks?? We contacted head office who are still saying no a refund saying that they haven't received the money yet our bank clearly shows the money has gone??? So someone has our money

The town crier, is in the heart of Chester, plenty of room to sit outside in the sunshine if that's your thing, but also it's just as nice inside where the staff are willing to help sorry no photos as sometimes I think it's creepy, it's part of the hotel so it's really nice place ??

12.33 on Thursday 15th August. Have just been served by a very pleasant young barman. He was amiable, helpful and polite. Almost as refreshing as my tonic water and ice in this current climate of "rude and aloof is the new normal". Didn't want to embarrass him and ask his name but his manager will be able to work it out from the rota and give an appraisal I am sure. Will be returning later with my elderly mother for lunch. Good manners are essential for businesses and he is a great example.
