Always excellent third visit this evening with all the family and everyone very impressed. The steak was perfectly cooked. The mushroom bourgenion was delicious and the sticky toffee pudding and the crumble are must haves. Service and atmosphere great too and obviously a locals favourite.

We visited The Piper today, with family and we all ordered the Sunday roast, which was absolutely delicious and piping hot too! Staff were so efficient and very friendly, they made our whole dining experience an enjoyable one. Alan, the landlord, really went out of his way to make sure all his guests were well looked after, he has a great team and manages them well. Many thanks, to Alan & staff, we can?t wait to return again soon! 5 stars all round!

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Plates cleared by all, including the children's.
Everything came well presented.
Quick with service.
The gluten free menu: good selection to choose from - the fish and chips was amazing. Lovely light batter!!
The manager was brilliant at talking everything through with me.
As a coeliac I felt confident with eating there.
Dietary restrictions: Coeliac: good menu to choose from. The manager explained how the risk of cross contamination is very low, as he understands completely what it's like, with having family members who are also coeliac. So every is done to high standard and they have a large kitchen so are able to have dedicated work spaces for gluten free foods to be prepared.
Kid-friendliness: On arrival we saw that there were lots of other families and their children.
Kids menu had a good selection
