Location was very good. Over all had a good experience, apart from rather noisy people in the room above ?

Could not check in till 3.00pm, no early check in, so of cause there was a wait at 3.Staff nice and helpful. Our room was in the new part across the bridge, top floor nice and quite, all so a good size and cleanBreakfast good but a wait for table even tho' allocated time slot.Other meals cannot say as ate out.Parking can't see why you after pay £9 just because you book with agent.

5* hotel staffAll the staff where lovely and helpful.3* night sleepCould hear crack heads outside fighting all night and pigeons early in the morning. Pillows where old and terrible. The "double bed" was two singles pushed together.2* breakfastBacon was boiled and scrambled eggs where pale and watery. I couldn't tell you what they tasted like as I didn't want to risk my life. The croissants, OJ and cereal was fine.3* SpaThe room in-between the changing rooms and pool stank of piss.Decent size pool and small hot tube. Both seemed clean.

Really handy hotel right in the centre of Chester with its own car park (chargeable). The design of the hotel can be confusing - spread across a canal - but it does mean that you can get into town along the towpath. The rooms are nice, warm and clean, with enough room for their purpose. The bathroom is likewiseThe breakfast is good but, when we were there it was only serving a festive menu in the restaurant in the evening which was very limitedI would stay there again but would book direct with the hotel which removes the requirement to pay for car parking

Great hotel / food is excellent / breakfast had lots to choose from. Sam in the restaurant is a really nice guy, very pleasant we will definitely be going back again. Only little thing was there are no hooks or towel rail in the bathroom to hang towels when you have a shower but still gets 5 stars off usNearby activities: Short walk to some old bars we drank at olde cottage great atmosphere logs on the fire great selection of beers and staff very friendly

I haven?t stayed at the Mill Hotel but I have used their leisure facilities and I have been on their canal cruise. The hotel boasts a nice swimming pool which is open to the public, as well as a gym. The canal cruise is definitely worth a go on, you can sail right along Chester?s canals and learn about some of the city?s history.

Nice pool and Spar facilities which we used.Only 5 minutes into the centre of Chester.Car parking £9 pound next to Hotel. Our room was fine clean bathroom a good size but only a shower over the bath not a fitted one.Bar was nice and guy really friendly and prices were reasonable.Rooms: Our room was on the far side of the hotel quite a good walk.Bedroom and bathroom decent size and clean.Overheard shower into the bath a bit flimsy.Walkability: Five minute walk into Chester City Centre.Food & drinks: Drinks reasonably prices in the bar.

Nice hotel, with comfortable beds. We've only given 4 stars for the rooms as we booked & paid for a king size bed room, and we got a standard double bed. So be careful what you pay for. The staff were lovely and very helpful, & clearly very busy and were well managed. We didn't go into the town, but we were constantly told we were in the heart of the town. Beware: If you don't book direct, you have to pay for parking. If there's a space free.

a bit upset with a few things about the room; pillows were hard, heating was on incredibly high & couldn?t find a way to turn it down, shower wasn?t easily accessible and was very difficult to find a temperature that wasn?t lethal! but other than that, nice place! the food was lovely and the staff were all very lovely too, looked forward to the breakfast buffet every morning!Walkability: was easy to walk into town from the hotel and many lovely restaurants are within walking distance!Food & drinks: very good food & drink! only problem I had with it was an unfortunately overcooked piece of bacon, but everything else was lovely!

Been coming here for over 20 years, sadly it's going down hill.Breakfast used to be fabulous, very poor now,all pre cooked and kept warm,no orange juice. If you book spa treatments make sure you check what's included.....extra charges for robes and slippers £8!!!bit steep.3 days notice needed if your friends want to treat you to a bottle of bubbly in your room and phone up to do soRooms: Lovely and warm ,spaciousSafety: Always feel safe in areaWalkability: Fabulous for town centre and surrounding areaFood & drinks: See other comments

Staff are definitely the best asset to this hotel.Comfy bed but very sparce facilities in the room. W paid extra for deluxe room canal side, which was nice and large, but basic cheap coffee sachets, although nice biscuits. Bathroom facilities very sparce (for the price), one dispenser on the wall in the bathroom for body and hair wash and not great. Get better facilities at premier Inn for half the price.Breakfast food not great, again staff lovely and very efficient at keeping things clean, but, the hot plate section very small for such a large room, and not a great selection, need to up their game if they want people to keep returning on their prices.Walkability: Easy walk into town
