This Pharmacy at Kingswood is not really doing very well. The staff do seem hard working and have a decent attitude. Their shop is far too small. The behind counter activity appears stressed with people not having enough space to do their jobs in an unstressed environment. More staff is not an option because of the lack of space. I have only started using Swettenham's Kingswood pharmacy since the Boots pharmacy closed in Hoole in 2024, which had worked well. I have not used telephone access to the pharmacy, but the phone seems to ring excessively when in the shop without any staff answering it because they are too busy and overworked. Why not have the telephone in the shop on silent and have an answering service , as it just seems to irritate customers and staff in the shop. Goodness knows what happens to customers seeking advice. It must bevery frustrating. I have never received a text informing me that a prescription is ready for collection. There does not appear to be any consultancy rooms for customers requiring medical advice. Overall the premises need a massive extension and reorganise to allow this pharmacy to operate efficiently.

I have had good service from here in the past but today, after spending 1.5 hours with 111 trying to get some help for my daughter they referred us to Swetenhams.After failing to get through by phone we walked to the pharmacy and it turns out they had a locum working there today who had decided not to bother with any of the minor ailments routine.Not Swetenhams' fault, I guess, but shocking that a locum can just arbitrarily opt out of some of her duties leaving my daughter without help.They suggested we go back to 111 and 8 hours later we are still waiting for a call-back. Not impressed

I wouldn't use swettenham chemist pharmist kate who works in Kingsway raises her voice to make you feel small Infront of people and refuses you painkillers that are sold over the counter that you don't get on prescription cos they not been on prescription since the 80s im in agony. Told rudely to see your doctor's. My boyfriend struggled to calm me down after being talked down toIv also update and they lied. Said they did do full investigation but quite happy to let there employees shout at costi

I have been bared from here on the grounds of saying 1 swear word in middle of having an asthma/panic attack over there treatment of me not being able to wear a mask. The manager jess was not happy that I point out 95% of flu case had disappeared. She could see I was struggling coughing with my asthma, but took this as chance to say it could be covid. I will be doing a freedom of information/ complaints procedure as I'm adha/autistic and she treated me like I did not deserve any privacy/dignity just for not wearing a mask, in the middle of asthma attack. I was told to go out in public area to have a very private phone call. Jess is a bully behind a mask. Crimes against humanity. Managed by a freemason??

Had a emergency prescription sent here an got good service, so got my repeat sent here an again good service. Encouraged my elderly mother to move her prescription collection here aswell. Disappointed I did as ever since the service for us both has been shocking. Bad enough that it affects me but I have also impacted my mum. Not sure what the issue is as there always seem to be plenty of staff just not organised.

I have been getting my blister pack every month for 6 years from swettenham chemist and then 2 months ago I had words with the delivery guys missis (we were friends)oclock but that has all changed when0and since then he has been putting a note through my door saying he has been normaly he comes 4-30,5oclock that has all change now I phoned the chemist and I was told to pick them up next day now the chemist have known me for 6 years I said I needed the today as I am a diabetic they told me that gren price the delivery man was busy can some one come down for them I said I didn't have a driver and any way I was on the delivery roundthe driver then said i was to get some one else as he was not delivering to me any more (he lives 2 doors away from me)as mrs swettenham had change the rules?so obviously the drivers of the chemists rule!dont forget it was his wife I had words with

i have heard bad things about the chemist side of this shop though i dont use them for this i find the staff friendly though a little slow
