Chesters version of the Specsavers franchise of opticians. I usually find the meet and greet to be a bit intimidating, even if its meant to be helpful & welcoming.
Eyesight tests are undertaken on the first floor - steep stairs, no lift.
Quality of care was very good for both sight testing and eye healthcare.
Good range of reasonably priced frames.
Booking highly recommended beforehand if you want eyesight tests.

Used this opticians for many years and never had a problem. Always been very pleased with the service they provided. Good choice of glasses and staff are always helpful and caring. Would highly recommend the chester branch especially Nicky who is always very helpful and professional.

I recently took possession of both reading and distance spectacles. In both cases I have reverted to my old pairs. For my laptop to be in focus, it is necessary to have it much closer to my eyes than I would like, otherwise the script is not in focus. When wearing the distance ones, I find myself tripping over uneven surfaces, something that never used to happen. I have been told just to walk in the store next time I am in town, an appointment is not necessary. I will be doing that soon.

Today I was at Specsavers, Northgate Street, Chester enquiring about whether it was possible to get a screw renewed that was supposed to keep one of the lenses in my glasses in place. Dawn, told me that it was not only possible, but she could replace it within about 2 minutes. About 4 minutes later, Dawn returned with my glasses. She had not only replaced the screw, she had also cleaned the glasses and had also tightened the screws that were supposed to hold the arms firmly in place. I was even more surprised, when I asked how much I owed, to be told no charge since she could tell from a code on the glasses that Specsavers had supplied them! Dawn was absolutely brilliant in every way and I can't thank her enough. Dawn is an absolute credit to Specsavers and I will continue to use Specsavers in the future, just as I have for the past 20+ years.

Three times in just over a year I've been into the shop and the same member of staff has been incredibly rude. Two staff tried to tell me opticians are medical doctors which is simply not true and very scary that they feel comfortable lying to customers with such confidence.
I pay for my eye tests and like to have them tested annually. As other people have mentioned the staff react very strangely to this. Being made to feel like I'm waisting their time while paying for a service is very odd.

Since the upgrade/refurbishment of this store it is much more user friendly for disabled people. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Optician was professional and no hard sell was put on me.
Only problem as the waiting time to see the optician, it was 20 mins after my arrival before she came for me.
No explanation from the staff while I was waiting.
