Going into third month post leaving property and very slow movement from them on deposit disagreement, and still have not released the undisputed amount as advised by TDS. Unable to get hold of relevant person to discuss this with. Always advised someone will call back and palmed off - and no body does. They have 4.3 stars not because of how good they are but because when you move in they ask you to leave a review - the issues start once you're in and once you leave.

This agency refused to let me even view a property because my employer is not UK-registered and my salary is not paid in GBP. Even though my income is provable, declared to HMRC, and fully sufficient, they said I would automatically fail. This policy feels discriminatory and prevents fair access to housing.
But after seeing comments in google, I am lucky as someone felt Leaders are very poor agency after renting which seems serious problem.

My experience with Leaders was terrible from start to finish. I had only inquired about a room they had listed. THEY decided to call me, left me a voice message, but I was at work and couldn?t answer. I didn?t want to call back outside of working hours, so I called the next morning. The person who first called me wasn?t available, so I spoke to someone else.
I?m guess they record their calls, so maybe they should listen again to how they speak to people. I don?t know if it was my accent, my job, or my income, but it felt like they decided I wasn?t worth their time and less worthy of respect.
Later, I saw an email from the original agent and, being polite, I called back again to let her know that I had already talked to someone else. Big mistake. The second call was just as bad and unfriendly, and then I clearly heard someone in the background say something (probably the first person) that felt like as if I was some persistent creep for calling them twice.
It's fine if you don?t want to rent to me. That?s your decision. But there is absolutely no excuse for speaking to people like they?re beneath you. I?ve dealt with many letting agencies over the years. Even when I didn?t qualify for a property, other agents have always been polite, respectful, and professional when saying no. Leaders couldn?t even manage basic manners.
If this is how they treat potential tenants before any paperwork is signed, I dread to think how badly they would treat someone once they?ve locked them into a contract. It tells me everything I need to know about the way they operate, rude, dismissive, and lacking even the most basic customer service skills, and won?t waste my time with them again.There are plenty of better letting agents in Chester who know how to treat people with respect.

Dealing with Leaders (Holly) to find a rental property was a positive experience. Holly was punctual, patient, and quick to respond to my questions.
However, my experience soured with Goodlord, the intermediary company used by Leaders. They bombarded me with numerous promotional offers and reminders for tasks I had already completed. Many of these services, including contents insurance and internet providers, were also overpriced.
If you're renting through Leaders, be sure to research Goodlord's offers thoroughly - you'll likely find better deals elsewhere.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rosey who works for Leaders , Chester. She is a fantastic property manager with excellent communication skills and commitment to her job. Since she has taken over looking after my property, its been smooth sailing. She has always been at the end of a phone call and has definitely made my life a lot easier. Thank you very much.
