We had our wedding lunch here on the 29th december the food as always was fantastic all our guests said how hot and tasty the food was so well done chefs Holly and all the front of house staff where really attractive the drinks just kept flowing the garden room is really nice for small get togethers there was 22 of us with space for a few more thank you duttons as always top marks

We only went for drinks but it was an amazing environment to be in. Staff were lovely, helpful and were very fast at making our orders. 10/10

Had a two course meal just before Christmas. Starter was fantastic and main course was lovely. Nice ambience about the place and staff were lovely and professional. Prices and drinks were reasonable too. Would definately return.

Found this lovely restaurant after visiting the cathedral. Lovely staff, great food and drinks selection in a intimate venue setting. Highly revommend.

Called in for a few Christmas drinks last Saturday. Very welcoming with friendly staff. Good selection of drinks and had an excellent Christmas ambience. Although I didn't eat the place was quite busy with bookings and the food looked great with people's plates all finished.

Absolutely appaling and aggressive customer service from the ASSISTANT MANAGER!!! My partner and I popped in for drinks last Saturday evening around 7pm. I've been many times before but have found it no where near as good as it used to be around 5 years ago. The bar was very quiet and we found a table that wasn't strewn with glasses or discarded paper napkins etc. Shortly after we sat down we were advised by a staff member that we could only have drinks seated/stood by the bar. My partner had noticed a free table out the front under the heated lamps so went to sit there whilst I got the drinks. When I first went to the bar I was the only one there... the bar server was busying himself tidying the counter top behind him so I stood patiently for him to turn and serve me... however, by the time he turned around, another couple had approached the bar and he went to serve them. Whilst he served them another staff member (who turned out to be the assistant manager!) flitted up and down the bar, putting glasses away. At no point did either bar server acknowledge me or tell me they'd be with me shortly. The assistant manager walked straight past me to serve a lady who had literally just arrived at the bar! Eventually the couple next to me paid for their drinks and the original server turned to me and asked if was OK... i said I was but was disappointed as I felt I'd been ignored.. with that the assistant manager told me quite matter of factly, that the lady had been waiting longer than me and that I'd just walked in. I was properly taken aback as he was clearly wrong...I told him that he was mistaken and I had indeed been the only person at the bar initially.. he became quite aggressive and argued that I was wrong and that the lady had been waiting longer (if she had then why didn't the 1st server deal with her before the other couple??) The assistant manager then told me that if I continued to argue then I wouldn't be getting served!!! I told him that if that was his attitude then I didn't want to drink there after all... he then said "good, your barred!" ..and very sarcastically shouted over me saying "bye, bye, bye" as I walked to the exit. Now please tell me if that was an over reaction or what! It wasn't as if I was rowdy or being difficult but more that I calmly wanted to let the staff member know I was disappointed as I felt I was being ignored and therefore undervalued as a customer. Quite reasonable I thought? I'm in my mid 50's and spent 21 years in the customer service industry... had I EVER spoken to anyone like that then I doubt I'd have been employed very long. I shan't be going back anytime soon (if ever) but would be interested in hearing from Duttons management team to know what they think about this
