So much better than it used to be. Staff are really helpful and friendly and displays well-stocked. A far cry from how it has been over recent years. It used to be depressing going in there with nothing in stock. Would definitely shop there again now it seems to have turned around.

Great store with a fantastic array of mountaineering clothing . Unfortunately today's customer service experience was poor to say the least. No basic customer service skills from cashier, no offer of a bag. Cashier took payment then as she was about to walk off I asked for a bag. The bag was produced then cashier walked off and I was left at the till packing my own bag. I may be wrong but from working in a retail environment when I was younger, smiles, manners and helping a customer pack their bag or at least wait at the till until they left was basic requirements of the role.

Visited. Today with intention of buying some boots. The lovely lady on the walking boots section was very knowledgeable. And very helpful a suggested some decent quality boots. After a further browse around we were finally served by the lovely Chester team Charlie. Who was more than helpful with any final questions we had and wished us well

Travelled over an hour to collect a tent and sleeping mat that was advertised as being in stock ready for collection today, yet on arrival i was told they haven't got both of the items. Wasted journey - I would advise ringing before travelling but they don't answer the phone. Very unhelpful.

By far the rudest and most horrid manager I've ever had The displeasure of dealing with, wouldn't give me a refund even though I had the receipt and everything else required. Which is, let me remind you, illegal.
Completely ruined my view of the company, I won't ever be back.
