“Chesters version of the Specsavers franchise of opticians. I usually find the meet and greet to be a bit intimidating, even if its meant to be helpful & welcoming.
Eyesight tests are undertaken on the first floor - steep stairs, no lift.
Quality of care was very good for both sight testing and eye healthcare.
Good range of reasonably priced frames.
Booking highly recommended beforehand if you want eyesight tests.”

“After purchasing two pairs of glasses on the eye care plan, unfortunately wasn’t getting on with one pair of glasses. Went in store and no question re. exchanging them as before 100 day period. I would like to praise and express my thanks to Louise. She has worked in store for 16 years and is studying towards a 3 year dispensing optician course. Her knowledge and advice was invaluable, as my varifocal frames were ill fitting. She helped me choose the correct shape/style/bridge size of glasses.Previously, I was drawn in to designer name/fashion and not practicality of eyewear.Plus the frames were cheaper. “I was referred to optical express by a work colleague who had had replacement lens surgery in February this year and she couldn’t stop raving about the results..
I decided to take the plunge and get mine done and can’t recommend optical express enough .. I had my initial appointment in Chester and they were absolutely brilliant from the start .. to the end as were Liverpool and Manchester clinics
My eyes ? are 100% better and I have no need for my glasses anymore .
