The owners of Brown Sugar always give the warmest welcome, it?s like a home from home! Amazes me how they remember their customers names when I?m sat watching them chat to all the tables. Excellent food, service, atmosphere and price point. A new/younger girl served us today and she was super! So attentive and charming. Soup with a cheese scone and the panini were lovely. Thank you Brown Sugar?. Handbridge is very lucky to have you.

This unassuming little café is one of Chester's gems. Homemade cakes and specially blended coffee are to die for. Avril and Mircea genuinely seem to care about all their customers.

Me and my Mum came in for breakfast a couple of days ago, she highly recommended the place. It's absolutely lovely inside, the food and drink is great and the customer service is second to none. All three members of staff we saw were lovely. I overheard them accommodating customers who had specific needs and preferences which is very considerate. These people genuinely enjoy their job, and it makes a visit there that much more enjoyable. Thank you!

I went to Brown Sugar today with my son.
The atmosphere is so welcoming and all of the staff and owners are hard working, polite and friendly.
I had a cream tea which was delicious, the freshly baked scone was amazing, very light, fluffy and a very generous size.
My son had the brie and cranberry panini. He said it was delicious, very tasty and was more than happy with portion size.
A big well done for the way all staff coped during a very busy Sunday lunchtime. They stayed professional, organised and friendly despite being incredibly busy. I was very impressed.
Vegetarian options: Good range.
Dietary restrictions: Menu is very clear and options for different dietary needs.
Parking: Lots of on street parking both unrestricted and timed bays.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of families with children use the cafe. There's space inside with appropriate seating and an outside area suitable for children and those with pushchairs.
The cafe counter is child friendly, all products are within View but protected by a glass front.
Wheelchair accessibility: Level access from street into cafe.
All on one level.
Many customers were successfully using mobility walkers.

Great value for money. Lovely, filling food. There is plenty of choice on their menu and specials to choose from. The staff are friendly and helpful, can't wait to go back!

I can't get enough of the amazing coffee cake but having just finished an enormous scone I may be torn going forward???? Lovely cafe, friendly staff and in addition to the wonderful homemade cakes the sandwiches and toasties are great and they don't scrimp on the filling? thank you for your hard work ?
