Need I say more, terrible, terrible, terrible.
Ive changed my pharmacy, and guess what, phone call when ALL my medications have arrived. NO, can you come back in half an hour. NO, sorry we forgot to mention we cant get that item, I will have to go back to the doctors and mention it. SORRY, that's your job isn't it. ?
Birchwood pharmacy, I'm sorry but it's either the staff, or the large area you have taken on. But it's definitely not working, which ever way you look at it.

Always get my prescriptions for me and my wife here, the staff are always very friendly however we have had some problems with prescriptions

Booked in for a Covid jab, shop flooded which wasn't their fault. Went back in later that day when they opened. Was told the pharmacist isn't trained so couldn't do it. Rang them today and told only had one vial left and if opened only lasts today and no appts booked in so won't open it for one person. This despite them advertising on a board outside the shop no appointment necessary walks in welcome.

It can get busy, but hey! I guess that's what happens when gvmts suggest that everything other than death can ve managed by your pharmacist!
Regardless, the team at Birchwood Well are friendly, helpful, supportive and just plain nice!
If you can get over the queues at times, the team are great! ??

Booked a flu jab well in advance. Turned up 5 minutes before the allotted appointment time. Queued for 15 minutes to be told that the on duty pharmacist couldn't administer the flu jab as he was a locum and wasn't allowed to administer any vaccine other than NHS ones only. Bureaucratic nonsense and a wasted trip and wasted time. Use other pharmacies.

Good Work and Customer Service

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff on duty on the above mentioned time/date.
The Pharmacist, Medicine Dispenser and Counter Staff afforded me exceptional customer service when I was awaiting my Doctors Script being electronically sent over.
They all worked together as a strong team, were sympathetic to my requirements, extremely professional and advised me accordingly.
Over recent months my experience within store has improved with this being down, I feel, to clear leadership, staff happiness and teamwork, with queue waiting times being drastically reduced.
Please pass on my thanks and gratitude.

Think I'm going to have to go back to having my meds posted out to me again 2 months on the run IV not got my meds for my diabetes it never been the same manager it's a joke staff don't seem to care and if something is wrong omg it's like the world
is about to end don't use birchwood well pharmacy if you can go elsewhere or got your meds posted to you

Not a happy bunny with this lot. Poor customer service, poor service, poor communication!
My prescription was sent to them by GP straight after the consultation on a Friday, and when I called to ask abt collection, was told Tuesday. That is absolutely ridiculous. I shouldn?t have to explain myself why I need to start meds. It?s not your business! You provide service and get paid for it.
The whole pharmacy needs revamp, looks bad and a huge waste of space. If you can?t meet deadlines employ new staff.
Edit: after I chased them and they promised they will get it ready for me in the afternoon , it turned out they don?t have the stock. No one bothered to call. I was without drugs until Monday pm as they closed for the weekend.

There are many poor reviews for this pharmacy on here. Phone calls cut off and prescribing errors are familiar to me. I don't see any inappropriate behaviour of the staff making up prescriptions and if they have a joke or two between them is ok with me. I do know they are short of staff quite often and this tells. I hate the queues too. Despite frustrations, the staff have always been helpful to me. I believe that senior Well Pharmacy management are more to blame, do they pay staff enough to keep them? Not ready to change pharmacy yet.

Its dirty, dusty, under staffed, huge queues, nothing is ever ready or on time. They don't answer the phones, the automatic text system works now and again. Taken 5 days to get an "urgent prescription" feel sorry for the staff cause that place is rank.
