Love this place, staff are really friendly especially Maddie made my whole visit special. Nothing was an issue for her she went above and beyond !! The pub has a great atmosphere and is really clean. Would definitely recommend

I've been here countless of times and every time the service was stellar. Particularly Beth as she really does put effort and treated me nicely from the get go.
Food is really tasty and a good amount for the tagged price.
Super easy to find a spot to park your car as well.
Last but not least, the music is pleasant, with a nice choice of songs, but thankfully is not too loud, and you can actually hear your thoughts for a change, I really appreciate that aspect as well.
All in all highly recommended!

None of the food was hot. The sprouts were overcooked. The roast parsnips were not crispy. The roast potatoes were alright but luke warm. The turkey was really dry and there was ver little gravy. There was one small piece of brocoli and one carrot. There was no crispness at all to the yorkshire pudding; in fact, I have never had worse. All in all an atrocious meal. Fortunately the starter and dessert were lovely.

My deposit for booking my table wasn't taken off my food bill, then they wouldn't refund it, then I was offered to either buy morr food and drinks to redeem it which I had no intention of doing or a voucher that I'd have to use within two months. I wasn't happy with this and said vouchers are usually at least for 6months so the manager extended it to 6 months. I would much rather of had my money refunded as it has just been Christmas and you were quite happy to take it off me and I know other people who booked this event and they weren't asked to pay a deposit. Then my philly steak sandwich arrived well done not medium rare, I then pointed this out they told me it would be 3 to 4 minutes it was not it was around 15/20mins+ and everyone else had finished by the time it had arrived I checked and it was even more well done than the last one, I again pointed this out and the man serving apologised and said they could do it again to which I said I am starving and everyone has already finished I can't wait again for this to happen again. Steak is not difficult to cook I could do it better myself he said he would see what he could do and he then never came back so I had to eat it as I had nothing else. The only good thing about the event was the entertainer he was excellent and the only reason we stayed. I don't really want to go back to use my voucher and would still want a refund and something done about the terrible service. Not stocked up on gluten free lager for new yrs eve also is disappointing.

Been our local since moving in to Birchwood at the end of the summer, can't fault the place or the staff, had Christmas lunch there yesterday and it was fantastic, all the staff are great and go above and beyond to provide fabulous food and drinks. 10/10, they all deserve a decent Christmas bonus ?????

Christmas day 3 course meal for 9 people. One with allergens perfectly catered for. Everyone loved the food, well cooked and plentiful. Thanks to all the staff for all their hard work on such a busy day. Absolutely faultless and a really happy atmosphere. Well done and merry Christmas to you all.

Staff were friendly but the main course of the Christmas dinner wasn't good, my mum had to send hers back as it was cold, the vegetables were really hard not cooked, the dinner wasn't the best at all I left most of mine as it was too dry even with more gravy, the vegan main course came with yorkshire pudding which isn't vegan, the first course vegan option came with cheesy bread again which isn't vegan, the sweet that was ordered as vegan Christmas pudding wasn't and had to be sent back. The decor of the pub needs restoration especially the tables they really were not fit to eat off as the top layer of the wood has come off on most of the tables and there is no varnish just bare wood which gave me a splinter. It would have been better if they put table cloths over. We also had to wait ages for the food. Again the staff were really friendly and helpful, the pub needs new tables and some renovation and staff need to ensure the right food is given to customers as if the person had an allergy things could have been different.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent service, food was a big let down.
I had steak and ale pie and while the inside was delicious the crust was solid.
Yorkshire was like polystyrene
