Carl and Lynsey are fantastic hosts and the pub has thrived since they have taken over. They ensure that everyone is looked after, they know their locals new and old and always remember who drinks what, what snacks people have and always ask how you are, how's work etc etc....
Lovely, warm people who you want at the heart of your local boozer.
Keep it up guys!!

Fantastic pub Atmosphere is very friendly and inviting and it?s always warm, not like some other pubs. The landlady and landlord go above and beyond to make it a pub that has a real community feel about it. They do lots of activities for children and also regularly raise money for local charities in the area. They don?t do much food but I?ve had a pie there and it was lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. I wish there were more pubs like this.

Fantastic pub. The Landlord and Landlady go above and beyond to make this pub the best! Fantastic service, regular entertainment, amazing quiz night, open mic night the list goes on. The atmosphere is amazing and so friendly. Also they put on regular fun/family days and events which are absolutely fantastic. This is a real community pub where noone has to sit alone. Everyone is looked after and always returns. I would highly recommend this pub for all types of people as there's abit of something for everyone and alot of thought goes into it!

We have been going here for a while. However, what happened on 25/04/23 was entirely unacceptable. We arrived as normal, with one of our teenage children who was to play with her sister and her boyfriend. We were to play the quiz with a well established team. The fee for the quiz and mid quiz chips was paid for everyone, including those yet to arrive. As per normal, the 18 year old left it to the last minute to arrive, and did so just as the quiz started. They both sat down and immediately started playing the quiz that had been paid for in advance.Once the halfway point had been reached, papers were swapped and duly marked, toward the end of this the chips came out.As the chips had been paid for with their admissions charge for the quiz, they grabbed some, then went to the bar.Bearing in mind, during the quiz the bar is not frequented, and the bar staff are left twiddling their thumbs, what followed can only be described as bizarre.Whilst trying to buy drinks they were told they were disrespectful for not buying a drink, if it was that much of a problem the bar staff could have visited them asking if they wanted a drink, when my better half approached the bar after this encounter to try and make sense of it, the was verbally abused by the landlady, which was supported by the landlord, to the point that she came back in tears. The landlady has anger issues, keep away.

We have attended The Linley Tavern regularly for the weekly pub quiz and have always looked forward to it, so much so that our children started to join us. Due to numbers, they set up their own team. Tonight, as usual, we joined our friends and our children created their own team. Two of my older children were playing, but we paid the minimal fee for the third member too. We had bought a drink for my youngest, but since the other two joined late they didn't manage to buy their drink until a suitable gap in the quiz. My daughter collected her 'quiz chips', which are advertised as free, before proceeding to the bar to buy drinks for the team. As my daughter approached the bar to buy drinks for the team, the landlady aggressively called her disrespectful for not buying a drink earlier, proceeding to talk about them amongst each other and to other customers. My daughter was clearly distressed. I approached the bar to try to find out what had gone wrong and explain that 'we' weren't being disrespectful, unfortunately it was just timings, but was mortified by the aggressive manner in which I was dealt with by the owners. We are all fully aware of the difficulties small businesses face at the moment but we're bitterly disappointed with how aggressively our family has been treated, bearing in mind my partner and I have bought many drinks over the months, as have our older children. Unfortunately, we have realised this is not a family friendly pub... or a friendly pub at all! So sad.

Came here for a tiki themed fun day on Saturday. Fine selection of drinks on tap and incredible atmosphere. The pub has plenty of seating and a generous sized car park outside.
Parking: Parking available right outside of the pub with approx 20 spaces. There is also an overflow carpark behind with space for approx 6 cars.
