The through road was closed due to the music festival last Saturday. I had just had my lashes done on Farrel Drive so it was just easy to pop into Spar and get a few bits and bobs. The prices are quite high in Spar compared to going to Sainsbury's but it's a convenience store so I expected that. I got a nice fresh salad and some halloumi cheese. They did 0ne pint cans of Strongbow which I hadn't seen before so I got some of those. It was ok as a one-off visit. I will stick to Sainsbury's in future though.

Lovely staff, always fully stocked with products, tidy store. Gent who served me today (13/09/24 @ 2pm) was very professional and polite. Great to have such a decent local SPAR.

It is so nice to be able to visit a restaurant and come away with a 5? review. The team at the Manor House deserve great praise and should be an example to the many pub chains who should aspire to top level service, but invariably fail. Our family birthday meal consisted of 4 generations and 7 people. When we arrived it was incredibly busy with a wedding and a full restaurant. We had a lovely large table, had our drinks order taken promptly. The menu choices are varied and enticing. Our order was taken and no great long waits despite how busy they were. When it came we blown away by the presentation, quantity, quality and taste. No complaints from anyone just lots of smiling faces. The price range is medium, but their service and product is top class. The staff were attentive, friendly but not intrusive. Excellent thank you.

The spa has a number of lovely facilities to use. The heated vitality pool, surrounded by swinging day beds, is just one highlight. The water is beautifully clear and clean and is the perfect temperature for relaxing. A drink from the swim-up bar elevates the experience. Mocktails, cocktails, and other drinks are perfect whilst whiling away the time. A hydrotherapy tub, saunas, and other other areas to relax and enjoy the views are also found in this outside area. The indoor pool, with sauna, seating, and another swinging day bed at one end is another lovely area. Another experience to try is the salt shed - a guided meditation with a himalayan salt wall. One minute you're listening to a soothing voice taking you to a lovely relaxed state, the next thing you know, you're waking up with 20 minutes of your life missing, but in a good way! My facial was outstanding. I chose the Temple Spa champagne and truffles deluxe treatment. I can highly recommend it. The changing room was beautifully done but only contained 2 changing rooms. Our picnic lunch was enjoyed sitting in a secluded grassed area all laid out on a blanket and with deckchairs available, surrounded by lavender. The picnic basket contained an afternoon tea with half a bottle of prosecco. It was lovely, although the sandwich fillings could have been a little more imaginative, but this didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of it. The room for our overnight stay was really nice, clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, making this another relaxing space to be. Bed was comfortable, so slept very well. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, with Temple Spa products available. Dinner and breakfast were enjoyed in the Stables bar and grill (reviewed separately). This hotel and spa is situated in a lovely area and is easy to get to from the main transport links. It felt secluded from the outside world, which made it very easy to relax. All in all, a lovely place to visit or stay

Very good hotel but overpriced. Wedding couple had been promised a specific price for guests but did not keep the promise and price for guests was higher than expected. Breakfast was lovely, rooms clean and comfortable. Staff very good.

On initial inspection room was beautiful, clean, well located not too close to ongoing wedding party. Slight issue with toilet seat- not correctly fitted- not the best when in a 4 star hotel. Apart from that lovely stay

A very disappointing stay at an overpriced hotel - I booked this as a special treat. Have had much better experiences in a Premier Inn at a fraction of the price. Free dinner was included at £35/head, but it ended up costing us about £20 because drinks weren't included which wasn't advised beforehand. Restaurant staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. Rooms very tired with no aircon, rotting windows and the shower was poor. Wifi speed extremely slow. Breakfast was table service, but food wasn't freshly cooked; it had been dished up from a pre-cooked buffet.

We recently attended a wedding here. When ordering drinks from the bar in the grill bar I was told that as a wedding guest I would not be served at this bar again, the staff member made out he was doing me a favour (he forgot I was paying for the drinks and he wasn?t just giving them me out of the goodness of his heart). I asked if they served the real ale I had just ordered at the designated wedding bar and they did not. I told the barmen I preferred to drink the beer on offer at this bar and he just repeated that he wouldn?t serve me at that bar again. It appeared he wanted an easy shift as the grill bar was quiet. Our room was tired and rather depressing with mould in the bathroom. The breakfast was very nice with a good selection of pastries and cooked meals.

Nice hotel, but had a lot better hotels for the what I paid. Wanted to use the spa but found out it would've been an extra few hundred on top of what we paid to use the outdoor area so used the free pool/sauna/steam instead, but a selfish couple sat in the hanging lounge chair for the whole time we spent at the pool, sitting on their iPad and sleeping, we were there for well over an hour waiting and they didn't move. I'm sure they knew others were waiting and they weren't the only people in the pool but they weren't bothered about taking up the space that everyone else had paid for. Seems a bit unfair, maybe try and introduce some kind of booking system so that inconsiderate selfish nobs don't take over the pool area when they know others are waiting. If you want to come to relax in this hanging chair don't bother, someone will claim it for themselves for hours on end and not care. Also no menu option to order drinks to the pool was disappointing.
