Honestly the best roast gammon ever the Yorkshire pudding was perfect and the Mac and cheese is to die for the staff are great and very considerate

I have been here three times, first time had the best experience bearing in mind that had been back in 2022. The second time had been hit and miss, the roast had been disappointing for the price, having been cheaper than a good standard. Third time, this morning I came for breakfast. I felt it had not been to great to be honest, had mixed drinks and food up, managed to exchange the food between me and the husband but not ideal. Food itself had been nice just again felt it had been overpriced for the standard. Overall it doesn?t seem as good as it used to be, not sure if it has exchanged hands since then, also feel there should be a cheaper kids breakfast option more so in term times as if had brought them I am defo not going to purchase a full breakfast for ten pounds each.
Improvement needed but nice food in general.

Wasn't sure what to order, but took the opportunity to have the Pan Asian cuisine instead of a basic burger, which after eating I definitely believe it wouldn't have been basic. There was 8 of us and we had a phenomenal experience, Tikka Masala, Sweet and Sour Chicken, many naans, Lamb Shank and Sirloin Steak, everything arrived beautifully hot and the most delicious flavours. It takes time for them to prepare it, but definitely worth the wait, will definitely be returning and recommending to many. Was so excited to tuck in, forgot to take a picture before. The lovely waitress we had was informative, polite and chatty, a true delight.

Just had an amazing meal to celebrate our anniversary from the Pan Asian menu, which was served by the lovely Sunil who was polite and attentive. We really appreciated the delicious Cheesecake gifted for our anniversary. We will definitely return.

Attended today for Sunday lunch. After hearing so many good things we ended up being quite disappointed.
We came in and it wasn?t explained to us that we needed to go to the bar to order. That?s fine, but we could have done with the menus at an earlier chance to go through the options for the 2 young kids.
The kids had meals which were fresh and looked pretty nice. Our son had an adults gammon, just to ensure we could cater for his allergies. Our daughter had fish fingers, but only ate one of them which is unlike her.
We had the carvery, which was a bit hit and miss. I had gammon & turkey. The gammon was ok, but the turkey I was served a slice with a blood clot in and it tasted funny. My partner found the same with her turkey, but enjoyed the beef.
The veg options were wide and appeared fresh. However, there were 2 bits which really let it down. The mashed potatoes were extremely dry and lacked any moisture. It tasted as though the potatoes were purely just mashed without any butter. The other veg which was a bit of a let down was the red cabbage. It tasted like it had been drained out of a picked cabbage jar. The strong taste of vinegar was unexpected during our roast and unfortunately put us off.
Because of our young kids, my partner and I took turns to go up and get our carvery. She informs me that when she went up, the staff were getting their food as well, which isn?t a problem. However, the chef cut the staff beef from the fresh joint and gave my partner beef from the old joint.
I will say that the staff on shift did get our little girl a portion of baked beans which had got confused at the point of order (she was served peas instead of beans, but that may have been my error!). He didn?t ask us about our meal though. However, truth be told, I?m sure he could see we had taken all the turkey off our plates at that point and probably knew that we hadn?t enjoyed our meal at that point.
This has all the potential to be a decent place and to rival local options. So it?s such a shame that it didn?t on this occasion.

Came here for the first time today, I?m not the biggest fan of a carvery but was impressed with this one, and a clean plate to prove it. Plenty to choose from, very tasty and well worth the money, which was very reasonable. Too stuffed for dessert but there is the option to take away, dessert was delicious too. Staff very friendly and helpful without having to be asked and don?t disturb your meal every 10 minutes to check if everything is ok. Will definitely return

We booked a table to which we were seated but we sat for 20 minutes expecting a waiter and some menus. I had to get up and ask how to order to be told it was bar service only. We ordered 2 carvery and 2 lasagna, the carveries were good but the lasagnas were awful, no sauce and filled with oil to the point it was dripping down my chin. Garlic bread was just butter and it was cold. Hoping the new menu improves quality too.

Popped in on the walk home from my son's footy match.
Got in before 12 midday & was very quiet. Had a quick pint & a hot chocolate for my boy. Was going to have a cheeky slice of cake, but it was 7.45, but it came with cream or custard!?
Settled for the carvery & can't fault it as it was decent.
I can see why people go as the size of their plates were huge!
