Very friendly, well located pub. But why sell mass produced beer from Cornwall when there is so much good ale available nearby. Disappointing.

One of the best roast dinners we've had in the last 5 or even more years.
Pork was beautifully cooked, the veggies were cooked but still crisp, Yorkshire puddings were big and very tasty.
A dinner that resembles the one that mother made (and she was the perfect cook).

Love this pub BUT today very unfriendly staff serving me at 5pm. Nearly walked out. Seems expensive.

That was weird. Was enjoying a nice pint, then had a woman come out of a cupboard with her dog and have a go at me and my dog.

Had a plate of Ploughman's, not very good, tasted old, almost gone off, wouldn't recommend
And then we got told to keep our dog well-behaved dog on a lead by someone who came out with a big dog without having it on a lead herself. It felt unnecessary considering there was nobody else in a beer garden at the time and really dampened our afternoon

We had a lovely lunch here for my father and my son?s Birthday (there were nine of us). The communication with the pub was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We would definitely come again. A big thank you to Kathy and her team.

Full of enthusiastic people listening to great live
Music on a Sunday evening. We nipped in for a quick drink after a walk. Sunday carvery from earlier smelt really good so we will be going back for sure.

Just back from a one night stay and it was very enjoyable, the room was very character and the breakfast was lovely, the staff were very good and nothing was a problem will definitely return.

A typical village pub in a lovely village. No real character behind the bar. Not many snacks available. Just crisps.... Not great choice.

I very much wanted to love this place as the staff, location and decor was lovely but sadly the food and its price definitely let the place down.
I paid £8.30 for a small baguette with three Tesco economy fingers and some shredded lettuce sprinkled on top with a hand full of rocket on the side ?
Will definitely be back for a pint but going to stay clear of the food sadly as it's clearly a maximum profit minimum quality/effort
