Rubbish! Wisbech B&Q 90% out of stock of what I want to buy.
August 2023 by Brian Bilverstone
Not being the largest of B&Qs, it doesn't carry the full range of stock. But there is usually plenty of what it dies carry and we have found the staff to be far more helpful and friendly, when compared to other branches we have visited.

They had everything we went for.The paint mixing lady is excellent. As it's 20 years since we last decorated we are more than a little bit out of touch regarding pricing so we assumed that they're competitive.

Nightmare supply and fit bathroom experienceI recently had a bathroom renovation experience with B&Q Wisbech in May of this year, and I must say it was far from satisfactory. From start to finish, the process was filled with delays, miscommunication, stress, and unexpected costs. We initially purchased a supply and fit bathroom package, hoping it would simplify the renovation process. However, we quickly realized that things were not going as smoothly as anticipated. The first red flag was the constant stock availability issues. It seemed like every time we wanted to proceed with the project, certain items were out of stock, resulting in frustrating delays. In the end it took around 4 visits to the store to get the order placed. This was compounded by the fact the designer lost our design which meant we had to spend additional time on remaking the design based of an earlier version. But the real frustration began when the contractor turned up to site the first day without the bathroom plans/designs for our bathroom that B&Q should have supplied. He then returned the second day still without any plans and started adding extra works without our consent.Suddenly, we were faced with exorbitant charges for tasks that were never included in the original agreement such as the construction of shower pipework that wasn't required.A nightmare scenario came when they stopped work on our project and demanded over £2,000 (+60% to the original installation cost) to continue with it after we changed around 3 square meters of tiling due to the poor quality of the tiles originally supplied. In the end, we had to source alternative tiles from Wickes. After a constant back & forth with management, we agreed to pay an additional £750 so that the project could continue. In our opinion, we felt they were taking advantage of the situation to squeeze more money out of us to recuperate money from the first 2 days on site without any plans. However with a 3 year old daughter unable to bathe for 2 weeks at this point and a completely stripped bathroom, we had no choice but to fork over more money or face the unacceptable health hazard that the bathroom was at that point. The overall experience left us feeling disappointed and frustrated. Our bathroom, intended to be a haven of relaxation, became a constant reminder of the numerous obstacles we encountered during this renovation. It's disheartening to see a company that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction fall short of their promises. If you're considering a bathroom renovation and value transparency, efficiency, and fair treatment, I would strongly advise against choosing B&Q. There are many other reputable options available that prioritize customer experience and deliver on their commitments. In conclusion, our experience with B&Q's bathroom renovation service was far from what we expected. The lack of communication, unexpected costs, and inflated time assessments left us feeling unsatisfied and regretful. We hope that sharing our experience will help others make an informed decision and avoid the frustrations we endured.

Wanted some wood cut, but service non-existent. Staff summoned by intercom -but they will hang up on you the second you say the wrong thing (such as mentioning '4 by 2' instead of using metric. I kid you not). After re-intercomming, and finally being allowed to explain, many minutes passed before a physical staff member appeared. Darren then proceeded to demonstrate zero mathematical ability, claiming (repeatedly) a 600x1200 sheet could be cut into just two 300x500 sheets.Useless staff, zero customer care and deeply unpleasant shopping experience.

Store is okay.Had a garden table I wanted in stock and was able to buy. When I opened the box to set the table up I found it was broken so took it back. They didn't offer to replace, just gave a refund. So now without a table to go with chairs.
