A wait of 40 minutes is unacceptable considering no one had ordered a meal before us. The lamb rump with aubergines was very greasy. The lamb was not tender. A lack of staff is obviously impacting on overall service. Disappointing considering a very pleasant venue

The Red Lion at Whittlesford Bridge is a quirky 13th century coaching inn. Located just 10 minutes drive from Cambridge. We have a lovely restaurant, meeting and event room facilities and 17 unique bedrooms. Our restaurant and all rooms are suitable for dogs, a £30 supplement is applied for staying in the bedrooms. All our rooms are ensuite, with the singles and doubles having the choice of either bath or showers.
The Red Lion is adjacent to Whittlesford Parkway railway station taking just 8 minutes into central Cambridge (2 stops).
We have 10 complimentary car park spaces, please follow the signs past the pub to the car parking area to the designated areas. If in doubt please ask a member of the staff to show you. Registration required.
