Friday lunch- fantastic food great quality and the service was second to none - good value for money and a great atmosphere. If you are looking for a great place to eat/drink/stay look no further highly recommend it.

First visit since renovations. Well worth the wait and the visit. Nice to see a menu that wasn?t chips with everything. Food was hot and delicious. Service staff very friendly. When i lived in the area I only went here once as it wasn't that great, but now...wow what a transformation, hats off to you, it's unrecognisable! and hard to believe it's the same place, an absolute asset to the village and surrounding area, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was excellent, with a good selection of drinks at the bar, and dog friendly, we now live 250 miles away but will definitely come again next time we pass through ?

Mothers day lunch.... OUTSTANDING !!!
Was recommended to go here after my original choice was booked up... was told this was newly renovated etc.... so so glad we went and this place was beautiful in every way... had to come home for a nap after being happily full up from the 3 courses offered and gratefully eaten. Will most definitely recommend and return.

I visited the Rose and Crown for a Sunday treat with family. We were a little early for our booking but we were seated quickly and given time to browse the menu. Our roasts arrived promptly after ordering and there was plenty of hot food to enjoy. It was all of and excellent quality and we were well looked after by all staff. Thanks we will definitely visit again.

Stopped off for lunch and ordered pizzas. The service was good and the pizzas delicious, with a complimentary appetiser a nice touch. Good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Would happily go back if in the area again.

Popped in as was passing. Nice clean pub, the staff were friendly and the Citra was in good condition. We ate, food was good and I liked the curry sauce with the fish and chips. Only reason not to give the full five stars was that it was chilly inside otherwise a very good pub visit.

A beautifully restored building - it is now like a country house. Good service, helpful and attentive staff. Good menu, if a bit limited (five starters/five mains/five pudd + pizzas and a few classics. But fantastic to have game on the menu. I had pigeon starter and a pheasant main. Both were excellent. A good and well priced cheeseboard rounded off a great meal. My wife had a very nice side salad to start followed by the flat iron steak, with a very good selection of ice creams to finish. All round good food at a reasonable price, in a beautiful surrounding.
