We booked a table in the morning, have wanted to try the steakhouse for a long time now, visited from Peterborough. And definitely worth it ?When we arrived we were greeted in a lovely welcoming happy manner,The restaurant was clean beautifully presented staff were well dressed polite and professionalWe were seated easily in a booth that was spacious clean and had all table settings cutlery menu's condiments. Etc..The overall customer service by Bethany was fantastic..Attentive, helpful, fun, not over board pestering that you can have sometimes at places but at hand if needed engaging and informative made our experience enjoyable and relaxing thank you we hope you are recognised and appreciated. We didn't have starter's or desert as had been a long day for us both but wanted the chance to experience the steakhouse mainsOmg the main...I had medium fillet Max had rare medium ribeye with king prawns and we had the homemade coleslaw and onion rings to share, both had peppercorn sauce.100% perfect thank you to the chef and all catering colleagues cooked to perfection and plentyful, I even said to Max I had my feet/legs doing the happy dance with the beautiful flavours and perfectly cooked steak and sides his was also cooked to perfection and I had a tiny slice he wanted me to try of his and omg melt in the mouth perfection and am now looking forward to switching from medium to rare medium,Will absolutely visit again and tell others as it was wonderful from start to endExtremely happy content and grateful

OK, so it's been very wet of late, but frankly this place needs to invest in some proper pathways to their exhibits. Admission fee cannot cover the operating costs, but we had to abandon the woodland walk as it was impassable. The emu's looked bedraggled and miserable, pecking forlornly at the ground looking for food. I question the size of some of the enclosures for the puma's and lions. The latter in particular needing a lot of space. The saving grace was the cafe with the cake and coffee going down nicely. It seems the priorities of this place need to be realigned to the visitor experience and the welfare of their livestock.

(Steak house )First time here and it certainly won?t be our last . The food tastes amazing ( steak and ribs) and the portions are very generous . The staff are friendly and polite and very attentive. Food was served hot and we didn?t have to wait too long . We cannot fault this place and we will definitely be going back . Thank you for a lovely evening .

I like walking around the park. Very nice for my son after lots of rain there should be gravel paths so people can stay clean. In the tea room ordered some chips. As shown in picture they are dark brown very greasy and for nearly £3 For small bowl. It's not acceptable to send out food in that state. I will not be buying from the tea room anymore.

We visited for the first time today and I can highly recommend this zoo. We took our three children and although it was raining and places of small flooding we had a fabulous time. The animals are amazing and the view you get it?s really something special. The zoo keepers were feeding the animals and he took the time to talk to my children and explain alittle bit about the animals which I thought was lovely and my children were amazed at the facts. This place is beautiful and well worth a visit. We can?t wait to come back in the summer

Been many of times, before it was free and also now you pay for admission, but it's not to expensive like other places and it's worth every bit of money, the animals are good and even the little walk in the woods, the park also. The resturant is very yummy and price is worth it. Parking can be a nightmare if busy.

We went Sunday for the carvery; got a couple drinks and sat down for ten minutes before getting our lunch. As we started eating a family with a baby came in and sat in one of the booths near us. The baby starting crying and screaming, without any apology or attempt to take the child out to the baby changing rooms and changed the baby's nappy on the seat. We could not hear ourselves think and many of the other people were looking to see what was going on. As for the food itself, the topside beef was chewy, the vegetables were cold and the Yorkshires were tasteless. Will not be visiting for Sunday lunch again. The butchery department is superb.

The Zoo itself is an embarrassment. Only zoo in the country to have a sloth bear and yet they have a chimney blowing smoke into its enclosure ALL DAY, this chimney also filled up the Racoon dog and Eurasian eagle owl enclosures with smoke, suprised none have died of lung cancer yet. Reptile house had alot of still stagnant water in some enclosures, but some cool crocs, very clear theres low animal maintenance levels, further more little to no educational value for the different exhibits (no signs/broken signs). Cats were very visibly distressed. The restaurant and shop were lovely, though.

Great place to spend an afternoon at. A little zoo, with an amazing addition of lions recently, a gift shop, farm shop, restaurant & cafe. The zoo part is great value for money and includes a tropical indoors area with exotic reptiles, fish, birds. Highly recommended for a family or any animal and/or good food lovers. The steak house has a lovely hunting lodge style decor and the food is delicious!

Me and my family came here to visit the small zoo and steakhouse for my dad?s birthday. It was a horrible rainy day, but even then we had an awesome time. For a small place the zoo has a wide range of animals from raccoons to lions. Only taking us 30 minutes to walk around and watching them feed the animals, it was still a good time. After a fun but wet afternoon we settled in at the restaurant for the Sunday Carvery. I chose to have the beef and turkey, both were simply delicious. The steak was beautifully cooked, probably the best I?ve ever had, truly a fantastic steakhouse. The service was lovely and even helped us with the wifi while dealing with our 3 month old daughter. Quite pricy but honestly worth the pennies.Even with our belly?s full we visited the farm shop of which was narrow but had everything u could think of, we only left with a cherry pie but we could have spent thousands on the pastries, rugs and knives they had on sale.A lovely experience for those wanting a a good day out!
