Carpark entrance us hard to find as there are no signs in the town by the car park exits or even at the entrance or I have missed them You need to go to the Cattle market car park that eventually morphs into Waitrose car park at some point. I managed to notice that sign. No chance to find it without google maps.

first to let you know that I worked for Waitrose in Putney Bridge in London in 96/98
I am using Waitrose in Cambridge and now Newmarket, so I do know a lot as customer regarding not only Waitrose but most the big chains in the retailing .
Yesterday 15 October 2024 at 10.30 am I was at Waitrose in St Ives (Cambridgeshire) here the main points
Untidy with empty shelves and not facing up
Bakery for fresh bread not available for issues
Reduced food for expiring date nearly expensive as normal price
I wanted to pay by cash and cahier not available if I needed the colleague it would call for me
I asked to speak with the manager and I described the St Ives Waitrose a disaster in the poor system not equal to the standard of others Waitrose
Worse than this you could not reach

Very low in fruit and veg. Struggled to find gluten free.The staff are great and the location good.
