The pub has recently changed hands so we wanted to head to try the new food offerings - boy, are we so glad we did! This pubs always been a favourite and will continue to be just that. We had dinner on a saturday night - lovely atmosphere! Had the camembert bread bowl to start - the best starter we?ve ever had! Its huge, amazing value and just DIVINE! We tried the korean chicken burger, poutine, chicken tenders for our mains, all absolutely stunning and finished off by trying the Pain au chocolat bread and butter pudding, stunning! Couldn?t recommend heading here for food more! We can?t wait to go back!
Headed back today (23rd August) for lunch - croque monsieur with added egg, foccaccia bread (bar snacks) and patatas brav-ish (bar snacks) - croque monsieur was a HUGE hit, ham that melts in the mouth and the cheese sauce is beautiful

We were here one week ago, 10/8/25 and it was really lovely first class service. Tom was a great host and doing a excellent job of bringing the Ollie Cromwell back to it's former glory and the staff were excellent. Food arrived at our table in good timing ? ? My daughter and her boyfriend went to the Ollie again last night and said they had a really enjoyable evening. Well done Tom and team. We look forward to visiting again soon ?

Professional and friendly staff in a pub with a great atmosphere. I had the fish and chips with smashed peas, the portions are good and the homemade tartar sauce was delicious. The quality of food goes way beyond the standard pub chains, I would definitely recommend!

Loved this place. We were fans of the previous owners and menu, but new manager Tom, and his excellent bar and kitchen team, have taken a great place and turned it into something really special! We don't go often enough to consider ourselves regulars, but it's very much a local pub that welcomes absolutely everyone.
PS - DO try the food, it's all delicious!

Very mixed! My burger was one of the best I've ever tasted (and they served it on a real bread roll, not a brioche when I asked about it.) My wife's chicken breast was one the driest and most tasteless ever.
We also had to wait for over 3/4 hour for the food, but we were not warned, although they must have known that as others had a long wait too.

AMAZING Sunday roast, probably one of the best I've had in years.... food was just perfect, staff were super attentive and friendly, and an amazing selection of local beers on tap.
Sadly we aren't local as otherwise would be here every Sunday from open to close!
