Just been into the co-op, fruit and veg section absolutely empty, no fresh chicken at all and the bakery completely empty. Usually come here for convenience but cannot get anything we need

My name is Wasim Shah and would like to share abit of my experience with Sawston Coop.
The staff and managers (Craig & Joshua) and (Chris and all the other team leaders) very friendly and helpful store is always well stocked along with good prices.
Worked at Sawston store as an undercover store detective and was a great experience.

It's a little expensive, radish cost 80p.. good selection of bread and nice checkout area. Co-op irresistible brand is still shockingly bad.

Absolutely terrible experience from the Sawston branch as always. I always try to use the self checkout point as the staff are incredibly rude. I went to use this and as several times before someone has either scanned the goods and just left before ending the transaction (maybe with the goods) or could not be bothered waiting for assistance which can take some time . So I went to the queue again and waited for the next person to finish. As I started scanning my goods in a member of staff came to sort out the other till and looked at me and said ?was this you madam? in a rude voice so I replied ?what made you think it was me? . Finishing I realised I needed my cigarettes so went to the kiosk and asked for what I wanted, after 3 times I had had it by now and said you heard me. She got on her headset and asked for a member of staff to come and serve me as I was incredibly rude and she wouldn?t serve me. Of course the young idiot who came over was so over the top ?I heard everything and she was very polite to you, I heard it over my headset?. This place is a joke but in defence to the elderly lady who served me she was probably in a bad mood as she is usually walking with her stool and trolley sitting down and reducing items, which she hides the best deals under fleece, at that time of day. You must need a degree of incompetence to work there. I never complain but was really angry when I got home but after half an hour of ringing them and no one picking up thought I would just leave a review.

Applied for a co op membership online whilst in-store.
The discounts didn't work, and the member of staff was unable to explain to me how the membership works.

Items were yet again incorrectly priced at checkout. When queried told items had been put in wrong place on shelf so that's why price was wrong . Bad attitude and certainly no apology from staff member . Very poor customer service .
CO-OP you really need to train your staff much better in dealing with the public and also teach them some manners!

Very very super prized. Sometimes the shelfs are empty.The good thing about the shop is the cashier so you don?t need to wait the long queue.

Over priced. Prices exploit captured audience and fact that it's the only supermarket for miles for those that live in local area. Fresh vegetables shelves are usually half empty by 5pm. Always an odd rancid smell coming from milk aisle.

Like other reviewers mentioned, very understaffed and so much more expensive than other supermarkets. Somehow, promotional prices never ring up either, so you have to be pay attention and ask for assistance each and every time, which leads to the queues to get longer... It's a shame there is no other similar shop close-by.
