Returned here as the tasting menu is AWESOME!
Excellently cooked food, reasonably priced and friendly service.
Super recommend the starters number 2 & 3 (ribs and satay chicken!).
Personally I can have trouble eating out, as starchy carbs (think rice, potatoes & noodles) my guts have issues with. But thanks to the tasting menu I can order exactly what I love, so beansprouts veggies and all the tasty meat dishes!
They truely are super tasty!

Being coming for many years food good but prices just too high. Drinks silly prices too. Restaurant empty compared to previous visits. Think they have made it too expensive which has put people off. Very pushy to leave a tip which spoils the experience. Won?t be going back sadly

Where do I start....if you're gluten free go to Jade Fountain! If youre not, then still go to Jade Fountain!
They offer the main menu, along with a taster menu (basically order what you like for £24-26pp). There is a huge variety of starters, soups, mains, noodles and crispy duck is included.
Focusing on the gluten free menu - i had a choice of two full pages and every dish was a standout. There was not a single thing I could complain about.
We had duck, crispy lamb, five spice prawns and ribs to start. You get a great portion size, even on the tasting menu and the wait wasnt long but enough to know its all being cooked to order.
Every starter was delicious, crispy, and the prawns were so good!
Mains were beef in black bean, king prawns with Chinese veg, kung pao chicken....what a delight. Loads of beef, loads of prawns and both my husband and I were so happy with it all.
Finally a huge shout out for making a rice noodle chow mein GF which tasted just like the real thing.. I could have cried. It was sweet, smoky, that perfect char and so good I ate it all to myself (no shame!)
This restaurant needs to be full every night its so good! Please go and don't let this great restaurant (offering a huge GF menu) go to waste!

We have been going to the Jade Fountain for almost 20 years and I realised that I hadn't commented on their great food in a long time. They have found their stride again with great clear flavours and lovely vegetables in all their dishes. I particularly like the aubergine in black bean that exemplifies the great flavours in the aubergine as the centerpiece accompanied by a great range of vegetables to give it texture. My wife's favourite is the Sechuan beef which has just the right amount of spice. I can highly recommend going there or take away.

We have been to the restaurant a number of times. The food is excellent and we particularly like the taster menu which has loads of choice. We always receive a warm welcome and the service is good.

Have come really late at night, half 10 pm , tired after a long drive from A'dam and eaten probably the best Chinese food ever, freshly prepared, tasty, with a touch of friendly banter. Highly recommend the food and a chat with the owners.

What a lovely restaurant - especially so if you have to have a gluten free diet.
TLDR: A great dining experience, nice atmosphere, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable owners & staff, extensive menu including large choice of Gluten Free dishes and an all-you-can-eat option.
I visited Jade Fountain one Friday evening with a group of 8 friends because we'd heard about the all-you-can-eat tasting menu and wanted to check it out. We were accommodated on a large round table with a lazy Susan, and unable to decide what to order, we asked the owners to help us decide - and they didn't disappoint! We were treated to a good array of starters, of which the ribs were the highlight. We ordered a second helping and I ate more than my fair share - only right as I couldn't have a few of the other gluten-containing starters.
Duck pancakes followed the starters - a simple lettuce leaf substituted for the gluten-containing wraps for me, along with a special plum sauce which also lacked the devil's wheat-based protein. Delicious.
We then got onto the main course - a choice of different rices and noodles and a large variety of meat, fish, and vegetable dishes. Each individual dish is fairly modestly-sized which is great because you can try a big variety without over-ordering. The owners and servers enthusiastically encouraged us to try lots of different things - all cooked to order.
We managed to pace ourselves and only ordered what we could eat and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening - I think we stayed until long after closing time - as we didn't notice the time passing. The owners and staff were very kind to us and really enhanced the meal.
The final bill was around £48 per person which includes a lot of drinks and a well-deserved 12.5% tip. We will definitely be back!

I recently dined with my boyfriend and his children, opting for the buffet menu. The food was tasty, and the service was good. However, we were surprised by the prices, especially when it came to drinks, which felt quite expensive. Additionally, they classify children over 10 years old as adults for the buffet price, which was an unexpected cost.
In the end, we walked away with a bill of nearly £200. This included drinks like spring water for the 11-year-old and 7-year-old, a Diet Coke for me, a small beer for my boyfriend, and a coke and a shandy for his eldest son. No one ordered desserts or hot drinks, which made the total feel a bit excessive for what we got.

Had a lovely Anniversary meal on Saturday.
The food was excellent and the staff were attentive and friendly. Great to see Eric again.
