I find Aldi great, nice variety, good prices, staff are friendly and helpful, just the parking is nonsensical. If your shop in Aldi takes longer than 1 hour, then you get issued a fixed penalty notice in the post of £70. While there are some disabled bays, parking is limited to one hour, whether you are disabled or not. Aldi gets very busy and between parking, getting a trolly, shopping and queuing, then taking your trolly back it is easy to run over the one hour, there is no consideration if you are slow because of your disability. Recently I made the mistake of charging my EV while shopping at Aldi, parked in a charging bay charging at 10kwh on a Shell recharge point, who would have thought the same one hour parking limit applies to the charging station as well? Ridiculous! Am not happy getting a fixed penalty notice for charging my car, and there is no signage to indicate there is a limit on charging time at the Shell charge point in the Aldi car park, worse in the last 2 weeks I have used that charge point several times while shopping at Aldi, so now there is probably a string of fixed penalty notices in the post?

I don't personally usually use Aldi as my local ones are quite small and often have sold out of things I want.However, I visited this one with my son and granddaughters when he did a weekly shop.I was quite impressed as it was well stocked. When it came to my son paying I was extremely impressed with how little it cost for a large trolley full.
