Our recent experience at The Queensgate Hotel & Conference Centre surpassed all our expectations. We were in a tight spot, as we had to find an alternate venue for our Entrepreneurs Circle Networking Meeting in Peterborough due to a last-minute cancellation.One phone call to the Queensgate Hotel, and Joanna swiftly booked us in for the very same day. Her swift action was nothing short of a lifesaver, and her warm welcome upon our arrival set the tone for an exceptional day.Joanna ensured the conference room was set up to our exact specifications. Her attentiveness and helpfulness shone throughout the day, making for a seamless experience for our group of 20.Our meeting was an unprecedented success, thanks to Queensgate Hotel. Venue changes can often be disruptive, but the high quality service and facilitation provided by Queensgate's staff not only mitigated any potential challenges, but enhanced our experience.Given our positive experience, we are thrilled to announce that Queensgate Hotel will be our new home for future networking meetings. Thank you, Queensgate, and more specifically, Joanna, for delivering exceptional service under urgent circumstances.

Didn't stay over night. but had a mother's day meal. Was really looking forward to nice homecook roast. But all of it was pre done and tasted like was frozen shop brought. The main part I was looking forward to was yorkshire pudding but they was tough and u couldn't even cut with a knife. 1st and very last time I'd be coming here. Really hope the food improves as you had good staff. Parking was good too. Had few people tell me about being desapointed with food. But thought I give it a go. Had to go shop and get drinks as supplied no kids drinks and a cheap bottle of lemmade and no decent coke zero or Dr pepper options.. Did get some funny looks that had to go to shop to get half the guest drinks. Very disappointed in the food would never eat there again.. Gave 3 stars as food was 0 but the service off the staff was very nice and polite.. And helpful.. And good parking. I hope the management take this on board as the place looked nice. Nice staff and the hotel looked nice. Just let down but the food.

Very nice experience.Booked for 3 nights.Free car park, friendly staff, delicious hot cooked breakfasts.Everytime I need it something the staff was very accommodating and helpful.Rooms: Nice room, comfortable bed.Food & drinks: Delicious breakfast.

Checking in was fine, room size is good but then the carpet wasn?t been vacuum there is a biscuit crumbs beside the bed and the the uncomfortable bed which is will share the picture there is a sinkhole.

Just avoid. I don't think the owner/manager cares about this trash. You might see a delightful picture, but in reality, it smells like some old carpets, full of dust on the bed frames, and the theme of the rooms is dull.This place is so awful that it knocked off my mental health when I was here.I was here for training purposes and booked this hotel for five nights, but I had to cancel this hotel after 3rd night because this place needs a massive improvement. I am still in shock.Also, I did not sleep properly because I could hear people talking clearly in the next door.I spoke to the receptionist about this, but what is the point is the owner does not care. Third world countries provide way better stay than this.Another thing that surprises me is how this place gets a good review and how people are attracted.There are many things here needs improvement.Please avoid this hotel, rather stay in a holiday inn.

The room was pleasant enough, the bed comfortable but the pillows a bit lumpy. The shower was fine, good pressure. Unfortunately water run out all over the floor. Tea and kettle was nice.The location was fi e, just a short walk to the centre of town.However, the noise from the through-road was quite loud. Also, some other guests came back really late and had an argument outside so had to shout at them to shut up.All in all, ok, but wouldn't stay again.

Good hotel for what one should expect. The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast was good but it would help to have cold selections such as fruits. The carpark was littered with so many cigarette butts. Overall a good hotel.

Didn't get the chance to stay over the night but I imagine it to be certified and decent surroundings so will keep it in mind for another time to stay.Noteworthy details: New to vacation and ability to sleep over during the night

Myself and my friend decided to take a trip to Peterborough. On the spur of the moment we decided to stay overnight. It was a mad rush to get some nightclothes and toiletries. We had a very good time. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was lovely . Definitely would stay here again. Very reasonably price. Good value for money!! ?

Booked one night at this hotel in September as all of my preferred choices were fully booked for some reason. I had a twin room and both beds were completely worn out! How old must they be to get into this condition I have no idea?! They were both visibly dipping due to the condition.... On complaining I was told that they only had one other spare room and we went to view this, This room was exactly the same both beds looked a carbon copy of the room I had been given. Suffice to say I had the worst sleep possible with springs digging into me all night. On top of this the carpets were stained, the room was dirty, the plug was stuck in the sink and the bathroom was full of mould. It's safe to say I will never be staying here again and have warned all my colleagues working in the area etc of the state of the hotel and to avoid at all costs!

We stayed one night at the Queensgate Hotel and were not positively surprised. Despite a warm and embracing welcome by the service-minded receptionist, Joanna, the overall impression is poor. We liked: 1. The welcome by the service-minded front desk staff. 2. The multiple free parking spaces in the backyard. 3. The exterior look of the hotel building Room for improvement: 1. Our room wasn?t clean with spider webs in the corner with multiple insects in. 2. The glasses in the breakfast restaurant were greasy and we found traces of old food on the cutlery. The kitchen hygiene is simply not up to standards. 3. The breakfast itself was of extraordinarily poor quality. At 08.00 the buffet was half empty. The eggs and bacon were overcooked and dry. Only the mushrooms were drier. A few slices of dry bread were left. There was a staff member present in the buffet section who seemed not to devote the miserable breakfast buffet any attention. 4. Our room was not well maintained, the woodwork needed painting and the room did not even have water glasses. The price/quality ratio was ruined by the lack of basic cleaning and suspicious health and safety concerns. Looke for your accommodation elsewhere.

The Quensgate Hotel looks fine from the outside, and the reception staff greets you welcome. But room cleanliness and restaurant hygiene is not as you can expect, and the breakfast was of poor quality, long overdue hot dishes

What a huge disappointment this hotel and its management are, they have definitely given up and cannot give ?two hoots? about the property and more importantly their guests. The outside of the property presented what was to come, a rundown, uncared for business which was lacking professionalism and requiring a good clean up. The team at the hotel gave me the impression that they had given up caring as well, shown by the attitude at check in and throughout the stay. The corridors and stairways to the room were dirty and uncared for, with peeling paint and stained carpets in evidence throughout The small single room that I booked could have been so much better if they cared yet it was disgustingly unclean, lacked any comfort, was so hot and was extremely noisy given the close proximity of the external kitchen ventilation system that meant sleep, for me, was impossible, (I asked to change rooms and this was denied). All the room amenities had issues, the chair seat was stained with brown marks (make of that what you will), the television lacked free view channels, the Wi-Fi was so slow and lost connectivity numerous times I had to use my mobile data, the TV remote control was dirty and I had to clean it prior to use, the duvet was so thin and patchy it desperately required replacement and which was the same for the pillows, the hospitality tray lacked a cup so making a beverage was not possible. The bathroom was just as unclean as the rest and the shower controls were broken making showering impossible, yet the management could not careless. I emailed my concerns to the management as requested by the staff on duty at check-out and they have failed to respond after initially acknowledging the message, another example of the inept management of the hotel.

Rooms are clean. Staff are friendly. Price is great. The mattress was comfortable but you could tell it was a bit old as a bit saggy. Room 32.

Clean room spacious, window was tiny , no view at all, but comfy bed, cheap too at 52 quid for 1 night. Might be cheaper booking direct .
