With a second attempt on the day - we managed to get a table for 2. First time we called half an hour before we wanted to try this restaurant, with no surprise now it was all fully booked. Half year later we called early morning and there was a free table.
Heard rumours how good and how tasty the food is at Cherry Tree. And I can?t recommend this places enough. The service was amazing - you walk in a little waiting area, they offer you a drink then introduce you to the menu and then you order. Once your drink is finished they take you to your table and food comes quite quickly. They come and check if you?re happy with everything and you don?t have to wait between courses, pretty much as soon as you are finished they come and offer you your next meal.
We took our time and enjoyed every second of it and we spent nearly 2 hours in this lovely restaurant.

Excellent and attentive service, offering a fine dining experience for barely more than the price of local pub chains. The menu is more limited, so possibly worth checking online in advance, but the quality and value for money are by far and away the best we've found locally.

Just had a 3 course meal here, very quiet on a Wednesday lunchtime but a lovely place, very nice and friendly staff and the food was beautiful.
They baked me some Gluten Free bread for the starter which is a first and very much appreciated. All courses were full of flavour and well presented, couldn't recommend enough.

Absolutely wonderful food was good service good the only thing i would say is you have to have set 3 courses and i don't really want that but they did put my desert in plastic containers and covered in cling film so brilliant.

Me and my husband have been coming in this restaurant for about 8 years and always on our special days its about 2-3 times a year always was very happy its like our special place. Food,service, atmosphere was perfect for us untill yesterday. They make the table ready for in some extension room i have never seen before which looked like storage or bathroom nothing like the rest of the restaurant. There wasn't any candles on the table but some plastic lamp on the table and ceiling was plastic, wine glass and jug was not clear and clean and you can see fingerprints...my steak didnt taste like anything. I was so disappointed ? our bill was 108£ for two i went back home and it felt like i spent my special day in some decorated garage and spent 110£ on dinner. I really love this restaurant for the romantic atompshere however yesterday it wasnt like the restaurant i once knew

We came for a ?fine dining? meal on Sunday, When we arrived we ask if we could have two separate bills that was to much trouble. When we were served Drinks they should have been brought on a tray and not hands around the the glass, then we had Beef that came very fatty and gristly and cut more thinly, this should have been picked up by the chef, the Yorkshire puddings were hard, as were the roast potatoes.
Then came the sherry trifle?s, the sherry next to none existence, no taste all, and to top it all off the coffee came lukewarm ask if we would like any cream 5 minutes later, then came a cup of tea the cup came on a small plate not a saucer, and the milk came in a teapot with no lid. Had two orange/lemonades total bill for two £75 clearly not worth it.
