initially blown away by the size and very intrigued, i decided to pop into this tesco. absolutely huge with a variety of stock & so many amenities in here. unfortunately my personal experience has impacted my initial positive view. went to purchase some nizoral shampoo that was on the shelf, it wasn?t permitted as a sale on the self scan. staff member told me it was a pharmacy product that had been put on the shop floor by mistake, so i was unable to buy it. really unfortunate! the self scan also did not like my club card, the pin machine froze and i could not complete my transaction. had to move over to a different self scan which was rather inconvenient. my partner got a protein bar though which he was happy about. this may?ve been a fab experience if not for the problems whilst i was paying! may give the shop another go when i?m in the area again, and perhaps my review will be updated?

Having just read some of the reviews on here about the staff at Tesco Serpentine, I feel I had to write a review. The patience I have witnessed by staff in the store when dealing with rude customers is amazing. I appreciate that everybody feels in a rush these days but to be rude towards staff doing their jobs is unacceptable.

I went into Tesco the other day looking for a specific item. As you know, Tesco is pretty big, so I asked one of the staff members where I could find it. Rather than just pointing me in the right direction, Mikey stopped what he was doing and personally took me to where the item was. He was so lovely! Considering it was quite a busy time of day, I really appreciated the extra effort.

Disgusting customer service guy called Mikey absolutely didn?t know what he was doing, he was the ?head of the tills? apparently lol knows nothing about customer service and polish lady working there they wouldn?t give me her name but she wouldn?t let me use my club card and let the guy infront use it had to throw a fit in order to use it

Lovely old gentleman on chemo fell and banged his head on the way down after a dizzy spell (in the car park). My partner and I stopped, waited with him phoned an ambulance and just made sure he was comfortable and just generally ok. My partner and I are only first aid trained.
An amazing employee who had clearly just finished work, went back inside to see if someone could give assistance inside. The employee came back and apologised stating that the manager she spoke to couldn?t come and couldn?t send anyone because the car park was not part of their designation. I?m sorry? I understand that it?s not required of you to come help, to come aid and injured person in the car park but is it not your name covering the entire centre? Do you or do not own or rent part of the land that this injured person with a medical emergency is on?
Good to know that should I ever require any medical assistance I actually need to be having it inside your shop in order for you to care.
It should be simply because you are human that you would want to help
Thank you simply to the Tesco employee who tried. The doctor who came to help 10minutes later and the emt?s and paramedics that arrived so quickly.
Do better Tesco. You should simply want to help. I can only imagine no one indoors wanted to get wet as to why you didn?t want to help. There is no excuse. Do better

Ridiculous service at the cigarettes counter service desk. I had 3 items in the basket and thought I go to the cigarettes counter and get cigarettes all in one go. She said she will serve me cigarettes but won't scan the items. It was an older lady in her 50s. Short bob cut hair. Never been refused at any other tesco in my life. I am a south Asian male as polite as I can be.

Great indoor restaurant at a reasonable price. Food cooked to order and comes out lovely and hot. Good choice too. Vegetarian options available.

The customer service assistant named Gary was rude. No interaction at all. When he had to rescan the heavy rice bag, he just signed me to take it out from the trolley rudely and didn't apologize at all as if it was my fault that he had to re scan. Even the customer behind me realized his rude behavior. When I acknowledged that to him, he then greeted the next customer in line. But no interaction with us as if we were alien. I wonder is it because of my origin? Never had this experience in Tesco before. I am sure Tesco recognizes and praises the diversity but needs to monitor its staffs behaviors regularly.
