A very welcoming place done and dusted within an hour all tests done for my self and 4 year old son. And I'm to take delivery of glasses in a few days time.

I received a warm welcome, and great service from the team who did the eye tests.
They were polite, helpful, and reasonably quick.
After I picked the glasses I wanted, I waited for well over 30 minutes before I ran out of time and had to leave, having been there for over 2 and a half hours.
Really disappointing to have gone through all the tests to not get the glasses.
Spoke to a couple of friends who have experienced a longer wait 1hrs+, and eventually left without their glasses aswell.
Overall disappointing, and ultimately a waste of time, hence 1 out of 5 rating.

This branch is usually very helpful. Not today, sadly. Called in last week to enquire if anything could be done for these glasses. I have had them about a year and surely they should last longer. The advisor agreed and booked me in for a return appointment. Arrived slightly late for appointment but still waited 20 minutes to be seen. The outcome was that they did not have a specific tool to fix. They gave me two choices 1. Superglue them, or 2. Buy a new frame. Great suggestions. pity you wasted my time in making a return appointment. Very poor customer service. Rated 1 as could not rate 0

I would like to make a special mention of Hamza. He was extremely polite, friendly, and approachable throughout my visit. He made me feel comfortable and valued as a customer, and his professional yet warm manner really stood out. Hamza went out of his way to be helpful, and his excellent customer service made the whole experience much more pleasant.

This is one of the best Specsavers I?ve been to thanks to an amazing optometrist named Kay Hilton! Super knowledge, super friendly and the kind of optometrist who tries to understand your lifestyle needs and preferences (not just your prescription) to help you make the right choice for you. In my case, this was incredibly helpful given that I live abroad and have some specific eye issues that run in the family - something I rarely discuss with other opticians in a routine eye or contact lens check up because they usually don?t ask the questions!

Went specsavers bridge street for eye test and to choose some new glasses, very nice,well mannered staff who were extremely helpful and polite, was quite busy so had to wait a while but really didn't mind the good service made up for that !

She recently checked my son's eyes and was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Super professional, incredibly patient, and made the whole experience so easy and relaxed ? especially for my little one, who can be a bit nervous with things like this.
Aliya explained everything clearly, showed real care, and genuinely went the extra mile to make sure we felt confident and looked after. It?s rare to come across someone who combines expertise with such a warm, reassuring approach.

I went to this Specsavers for an eye test and OCT (optical coherence tomography) scan on Friday 29 November 2024. All the staff were really friendly and professional. In particular, the optician, Eva who performed my eye tests and analysed the results of the OCT scan was very impressive. I would definitely recommend.
Update 22 July 2025. I visited this branch again today for the same purposes and again all the staff were excellent, particularly Eva who did my eye test again. They were very busy but my appointment was on time and I would definitely recommend. NB: the eye tests etc are in the basement, accessed by a long flight of stairs. That may not suit some customers but Specsavers will ring you up the day before to confirm the appointment and to ask you about access to the basement, so they probably have contingency plans to get around this.
