Store itself is modern and the only general M&S in Peterborough (there are simply foods stores). I find M&S generally poor for size range and today's visit was no different. The wife is a size 14 and yet many lines we wanted, was out of this size. Click n collect clearly available but if you need to drive to find an item is out of stock, then revisit....its kinda pointless. M&S was bad at this before their Cyber attack and things haven't improved. However the biggest issue with this store and so nearly deserved a 2 star, is the location. Visited Friday lunchtime and the car park was pretty much full, but worse is to come when you try and exit the car park and fight the traffic to be able to tavel south. Added around 30 mins. Quite why M&S closed its convenient city centre store or forces everyone who lives to the south of Peterborough on a cumbersome long trip, is beyond me.
The store is okay, poor size distribution and a shockingly bad location.
Avoid and shop online, if you want your M&S fix.

On entry you are greeted with a friendly smile by the store protection guys (security). All staff are friendly and helpful, including the store protection, if you you need assistance. Good quality food and clothing. On leaving you are also given a friendly fairwell from store protection staff as well. Store protection will happily help you on anything you may require on entry or exit.

The best M&S Foodhall ever! I bought a Percy Pigs which are good and the baguette was crispy and this M&S is my favourite I will buy them again.

Nice big store for clothes and their food hall and cafe, although their home products is now woefully space concentrated primarily on bedding, towels and cushions. There aren't any /many light fittings nor lamp shade no curtains, no rugs and very little dining ware at all. So it loses a star for that.

This department store is a shadow of its former self. Choices in the homeware part are minimal and to be honest a joke. Stock on soft furnishings are really quite poor and the staff member apart from trying to understand what he was trying to say I just felt he needed a bit more encouragement and support from senior members as it may have been more a case of nerves.
Size choices for men's seemed quite poor. I have a medical condition that necessitates my needing baggy jogging bottoms or jeans even but no, the sizing demograph is way off point.
The all day breakfast was brilliant, was given extra bacon as they ran out of sausages. Beggars belief considering there is a food hall downstairs. Not complaining, I just find it a wee bit bizarre.
There is a guy at the main entrance what is greeting you as you arrive and leave, nice touch M&S.

Beautifully clean well.laid out store. Awaiting extension and refurb. However the goods are on the whole lacking in variety style and attractiveness. Where are the goods seen on the website? Give us some stylish items MnS.
The cafe is expensive. Preprepped food lacks variety, hot drinks expensive.
