“My dad passed away whilst staying at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice last week. I would like to say that the staff were absolutely amazing from the moment he came in there 3 weeks ago. All the doctors been able to answer all our questions and all the nurses been making sure dad is comfortable and not in pain 24/7.
Every single person working there been so supportive and kind not only for dad but also for all our family .

“It is like in a jumble sale in there. At the very least, there is no odour of old clothing, as some second-hand stores do. Everything has gone up, including items in second-hand stores. I think the price is a little high at £10 for a pair of older styles shoes. I believe that lowering the pricing would speed up the turnaround and allow room for more things. A quicker turnaround also means more money coming in. After all, they got all the stuff for free. Just my thoughts.”
“The Deepings are extremely lucky to have such a great service provided by Age Concern. The groups that they run provide not only a hot meal on Thursdays but are all vital for allowing older people to continue to be able to socialise, continue shopping, and genuinely improve their quality of life. My mum has dementia, and the social interaction she has with everyone is vital in maintaining her mood and stimulating her mental health. Everyone goes out of their way to solve any problems, and everyone I have had contact with, is extremely professional, friendly, caring and supportive.”

“When I went here, I was amazing by the amount of war films and books here. I immediately bought quite a lot; there's a large amount of collectible items here that are worth it if you are someone who likes these types of products. I recommend to anyone who is looking for war films or books, or any sort of educational book, which are much cheaper to find here than actual stores. Thank you, Salvation Army.”

“Absolutely blown away at the phenomenal caliber and professionalism of all the staff. Staff must love working in a light hearted and peaceful atmosphere, and it shows in how much pride the staff take in organizing the stock. Retail therapy on steroids at very reasonable prices. I've been ill recently and find it hard to communicate and get my words out. The assistant manager really helped me by taking his time with me without being impatient. He offered suggestions which I found unbelievably helpful. I can't recommend this store high enough and it is an absolute pleasure to review this outstanding shop. Keep it up guys ?”
