Ordered a burger and truffle fries. Waited over 40 minutes, when asked the server about the food, she said let me check and never came back. Finally got my food another 10 minutes later, bland burger with no truffle fries. Another 10 minutes later, received the fries with parmesan cheese. I have had these fries before, were excellent. But this time food and service were quite horrible.

The food was great, but the wait was far too long.
We went two nights in a row, the first night we waited ages to get our food (and there were only two other tables occupied).
The second evening it was busier so we asked how long it would take to get food and were told that it would depend on what we ordered - ?a burger should take 20mins in any restaurant? we were told. So we ordered a ?light bite? pasta and fish and chips - 38mins later and our food arrived.
I am currently waiting for a single sticky-toffee pudding desert (and it?s been 32min and counting so far)
The waiting staff are friendly enough when they appear, but I had to go up to the front desk to order as no one was checking tables.

Chicken screws were nice, soft and juicy! Then restaurant was getting busy and the Seabass with new potatoes were pan fried but a bit over cooked.

The ambience and food were ok, although the prices are very high for what is on offer.What bothered me were the unappetizing glasses and the service employee wasn't in good shape either: my son ordered iced tea, whereupon the user brought black tea with ice cubes. When we explicitly asked her again if she didn't have "real iced tea", she realized her mistake.Then she asked us if we wanted peach or mango flavor. We wanted mango, but she ended up bringing peach - she corrected her mistake after we pointed it out to her again.This isn't all that bad of course, but if I pay 72GBP for 3 people, then you'd expect better service than in a fast food restaurant.It also has to be said that there was a dirty diaper visible in the parking lot, which didn't really add to the ambience or appetite.

Stayed at the hotel and booked a table here for our anniversary dinner. Wonderful service from our waitress (I wish I asked her name but she is a casual at Cast Iron and served us from 7pm 26/08/23.) Welcoming, helpful and so kind to us. The food was amazing, portions are perfect so we were able to have desert which was provided for free for our anniversary. Cannot fault the service and food at this restaurant. They are an asset to the hotel.

The menu has changed since last time I came, prices have gone up by a considerable amount but quality unfortunately went on the opposite direction. It is a shame because it is a nice location

Service was ok, Had to wait a while before someone came up to us with a drink or food menu. Mind you, there were only 3 people in the bar. But when you're from abroad or not fimilar with customs it of this place, it can be a bit unclear. But apparently, you order at the bar.The food was not great. I had the cast iron burger. I think this was the driest burger I ever ate. Had a hard time chewing an even harder time swallowing. I think my trachea is forever scared. I had to wash every bite down with my drink.. the Chipotle sauce I don't know but didn't taste like it nor did it help the meat patty go down. The whole thing was just bland and dry. Fries where ok.There was no atmosphere at all. It felt like I was at a wake. The deco is quite sober as well..
