Michelle was absolutely fabulous, she made me and the kids feel so welcomed. Super friendly and the experience was amazing. I do recommend the play area for kids, good food, 90 minutes of running around and having fun. But once again Michelle really was amazing with the kids, made polite conversation and she just brings a positive atmosphere, you can really tell she enjoys her job. The play area is a decent size, kids are worn out. Good experience

We had a table booked for 5.30 on 3rd August.
Went to the bar to order food when we was told no roast dinner's.
This was the main reason we booked a table.
If we had known we would of booked else where.
There was no Yorkshire puddings left parsnips were hard/ uncooked the beef was tough.
We ordered our drinks as I was driving I asked for a zero guiness and 2 x j20 paid for then then was told had no Guinness.
So we asked for 3 x j20 instead the bartender took the money we paid for the Guinness of one of the j20 so we ended up with 2 drinks when there was 3 of us.
My partner ordered lasagne which was all cheese and sauce with only 1 layer of pasta.
We asked for some mayo we was handed a empty bottle

It's just a geezer pub, and the 25% discount didn't get sent to me after the specified 48 hour period.
I wouldn't mind if they made it clear on the promotional materials that the discount codes get sent after *at least* 48 hours, but on all the signs I saw it said to leave just 48 hours.

Overall, the service and food were okay apart from the queues for the carvery bit.
The person carving the meat seems to be doing the job of another 2 people, so he had to keep leaving his post, meaning quite long wait times.
Just seems very disjointed to have the main cog of the carvery process to keep leaving to get supplies.

We stayed in the premier inn and ate here on a Monday. After a stressful weekend with 3 kids, the last thing we wanted was to entertain them in the restaurant, luckily they had a soft play area. Michelle told us we could sit in there and eat and she would just clean up around us as it was already getting close to closing time. She was so lovely, she even let us squeeze in some desserts before we left.
We didn't get to thank her in person before we left but we were grateful for her help that evening ?

Queued to get in, eventually got seated and told our table number. Ordering process not explained but I quickly realised that we had to go to the bar to order and just tell them our table number. The wait at the bar was also quite long and then I didn't find the bar member very friendly or welcoming. Went back to table, food came quite quickly but I found the cutlery and the plates to be dirty. Main meal was actually quite nice, I has the big stack burger and swapped out my ordinary chips for the Katsu chicken Curry chips which did cost extra but where quite nice. Finished the mains and decided we fancied a desert, once again went to the bar to order and had another quite long wait to be served, eventually got back to the table and once again the deserts actually came quite quickly but as with the mains the cutlery and dish was dirty, I has the apple pie and custard and the custard was cold. Seemed to me like there was not enough staff, everyone seemed a little rushed and looked a little under pressure. Over all I was quite disappointed with my visit and would probably not have this as my first choice to return to.

We had a lovely meal here. I had the gammon steak, and my partner had the cheese and bacon burger.
The food arrived quickly, and was hot and delicious. My fiancé's burger was cooked to perfection with a grilled taste.
Emma, our lovely server was super attentive and friendly. She made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble for her.
Emma cleared everything away promptly and worked hard looking after everyone in her section, despite the weather being so hot and uncomfortable.
The bill was reasonable, too.
