With b and m you know what you?re getting . Cheap Chinese products which may or may not work, or make you ill.
A majority of the time when you buy a larger shop from b and m, the prices are different to what you expected , normally more expensive , occasionally massively cheaper , which results in an article in the sun , and a few more years trading .
This seems to be the same for all stores, no matter whereabouts in the uk you are.
Most of the stores I?ve been to the staff are always lovely .
However , I have to leave my local a 1 star as yesterday I needed some last minute Christmas presents, and I stupidly awarded b and m the contract .
My £75 budgeted shop when rang through the till came to £89.99. This is when I experienced the sour faced attitude. How dare I query this when people are queuing on Christmas Eve.
Lo and behold , yet again , an electrical item wasn?t priced up yet was bundled with very similar looking items on the shelf to mislead you .
This seems to be a tactic to get you to pay more .
When I asked to look at the till screen OMG I might as well have shat in her face .
She kept hiding the screen from me, but I wasn?t having any of it, and walked behind her so I could see it .
She kept sliding it away on the pivot stand as though it was santas secret naughty list on there for her eyes only .
When I eventually got the correctly priced electric toothbrush I asked to check the screen again, to make sure the bill was correct , and again she moved the screen away.
In front of the now massive queue ( open more tills) she then said ? I?ve already shown you the prices ?
She didn?t show me anything.
In fact she tried to stop me seeing the prices.
It was only because I made sure I could see them I didn?t get striped up .
It?s like buying something dodgy behind some bikesheds where you?re not allowed to ask any questions .
I can see from Marc who left a review for the same shop earlier this year , this seems to be a trend .
Very, very bad .
Zero customer service , deceitful , and downright rude .
No doubt plenty of oaps go in here everyday and get ripped off like this .
When I?d agreed the correct bill and paid, the receipt was wedged in between two of the presents without a word from her , just waiting to get lost .
Without a word She then started lobbing the next customers items down towards me whilst I?m still packing .
If you?re reading this young lady , Drop the attitude - if you don?t like working there find something else .
Customers will take wallets elsewhere with staff like this .

Great shop fully stocked with helpful staff.
Only gave 3 stars as when I tried to pay on one of your tills, the card machine wouldn't accept cards and had been like it since the day before.
I'm not sure why that till was opened. If they knew the card reader wasn't working you have other tills, luckily, my Dad had cash I could borrow.
Went and checked my bank straight after and had no issue with my card or card provider.
Frustrating when spending over £150.

They have a great item and nice product,
But also the worke are there is very unprofessional worker and not respecting Customer, 29/october/24 like Tuesday, I went to there and before I go there I went to different shop to buy something and since I go there from bag of thing from different shops and I had receipt on me , and there was lot of white people with bag of things from different shops they walking inside and nobody was care about them and because off my colour are dark brown 3 times 2 worker are following me and telling me stuff nasty and taking the stuff that I bought it from Poundland and telling me that im stealer without proof and without knowing anything 3 times I told them I buy it from somewhere else and I have receipts with me after they still telling me I have to pay for everything and I it was so Embarrassing front off people they doing this to me im a regular customer from this shop every week I go there twice and buy spending money like a £150 per week there but this is what happened today I can?t even go there anymore?.
