We had a lovely evening for dinner celebrating my husband's birthday. Our waitress Elle was so friendly and amenable and made us feel very comfortable. She ensured our order was correct and that my husband's gluten allergy was catered for. She remembered we were off on our honeymoon in a few weeks which I had said at the beginning and wished us well on our honeymoon at the end. The food was delicious. We will definitely be returning.

Me and my partner live in the next village along and have been meaning to pay the Porterhouse pub a visit for a while. Now we?ve been we can?t believe it?s taken us this long! We sat outside and there was a lovely chilled atmosphere. We popped our heads into the tipi and it looked gorgeous! We?ll definitely be returning on a cooler night and booking a table in the tipi.
When entering the bar area to order our drinks, we were greeted by the most helpful, friendly bar staff who made us feel so comfortable.
We ordered two of their homemade pizzas which were delicious, as well as a few sides all of which were fantastic.
We?ll absolutely be returning! Most likely on a regular basis :)

First time here today, really friendly staff!! Wow I walked in and both behind the bar said hello to me and my girlfriend, they were really keen to help us each time we went back to the bar. The garden is lovely and clean and the food is amazing ??. We'll be coming back!

What a lovely little BnB Tucked away in this gorgeous town. The pub had delicious food and an extensive gluten free selection on the menu. The check in process was really easy and the room and amenities are perfect for a short and sweet stay. Highly recommend this small business run with so much love.

We had a large family lunch today which was held in the Tipi. Lunch was gorgeous service was excellent and we were well looked after by the Landlady who served us all on her own. She did a brilliant job.
Also it was raining but we were very cosy in the Tipi.

Porterhouse is out go to food oub wheb we are near, and have never been disappointed
This was our second visit of the week!
We ate in the tipi this time, it is a lovely space in an already great pub
Team were friendly and food was superb
We brought some friends who are hard to please and they came away saying we should go again

Great ale choices, lots of lager and spirits to try and plenty of alcohol free options, good value.
Food is great value, dietary issues catered for, variety and quality fabulous.
The team are really kind, friendly, all work really hard and we're lucky to have a great local.

I have been here twice now, first time was nothing special with disappointing burgers and the second time the food was awful! The second trip my friend and I went here for lunch. I ordered a Massaman curry which is my favourite. When the food arrived, it looked/ tasted nothing like what I expecting, i asked the waiter who was shy and sweet where is the coconut milk and cashew nuts. She spoke to the chef and he said he didn?t use any coconut milk or nuts because they had run out, instead apparently adding peanut butter. Why have this dish on the menu if you are missing one of the main ingredients? I asked if I could have another dish from the menu where they have all the ingredients ? sadly, they refused but did give me my half pint free. My friend had a very salty risotto and neither of us could finish our meals so ended up going for a Burger King on the way home, they had all the ingredients?.. Such a shame, it is a very pretty pub with lots of potential.

Visited this pub a few times and it is a lovely building and staff are lovely so ok for a drink. However on both occasions the food has been really lacking. This time I had the risotto which was extremely salty. My friend had the Thai Massaman curry which was far too spicy for what a massaman should be like and made with peanut butter not actual nuts . They were out of coconut milk and pineapple so the taste was all wrong. You should really have advised if the meal wasn?t able to be made properly as it made for a bad experience. Wouldn?t replace as it ?was supposed to be medium/hot spicy? but it was too spicy to eat for anyone (probably because of the lack of coconut milk)! So that was a bit disappointing, but they knocked a drink off the bill which was appreciated. To their credit the young lady serving us was very nice and helpful but we found that the food was inexcusable this time

Went for a quiet evening. It was lovely however the only disappointment was when asking for a mocktail instead of an alcoholic drink I was offered an Aperol spritz instead which had alcohol in. It made no sense

We're plant based and popped in here for dinner. I had the vegan roast dinner and it was absolutely gorgeous and cooked to perfection, the best I've ever had. My partner had a vegan build your own pizza and was just as thrilled with it. Highly recommend eating here, beautiful food.
