Quite disappointed with the service after our experience on New Year?s Eve. We knew it would likely be slower service being one of the busiest nights of the year and were happy to accept some delays, but it took 3 and 1/2 hours to arrive and we had no way of contacting Star Chef as their phone had either been turned off or directed straight to voicemail. Our food didn?t arrive until 10pm only for us to find a hair in one of the dishes. Such a shame as usually the food is good here but there was no acknowledgement of the delay and the fact we didn?t get our food until so late (keeping in mind they actually close at 10pm so was fully convinced we wouldn?t be getting it at all), to then find a hair in the food really just ruined the experience.

We have just had a great takeaway! You can order online, which is quick and easy. They take cash or card and the delivery time was accurate. The choice available is brilliant, with everything you could think of. The food was great quality and the portion sizes were very good too! There was also complimentary prawn crackers and fortune cookies, so I cannot complain at all. We will definitely be ordering from here again!

Friendly no-nonsense local Asian takeaway. Food is simple, tasty, inexpensive, consistently nice quality, and I like that they remember my usual (a vegetarian tweak to one of their chicken dishes). They make things pretty fast for collections. Been going there for a few years and they are still one of my favourites.
Vegetarian options: Tofu dishes, veg chow mein

Ordered 3 box meals, the rice had been reheated, the curry was just onion, barely any sauce. What a waste of money. I wouldn?t bother ordering from here as you will be disappointed ??

The green Thai curry is excellent. I would certainly recommend it. The beef is very tender.
Another excellent dish is the crispy chillie beef.
Another delicious dish is the lemon chicken.
The service is quick, always delivered speedily.

I ordered and picked up at the shop.They managed to get the order wrong. No rice and a mixed sweet and sour balls.I possibly could forgive the rice and I cooked some basmati at home.The sauce was like a tepid jelly. Cut and spread with a knife.The mixed balls were stodgy, dry fillings and tasteless.The pancake rolls were child-sized and covered in batter not filo pastry.The ribs I played spot the meat.£18 wasted.When I phoned. "Can you pop back for the rice?"I am 20 mins away. Nope."I will refund you £1.50 when you next visit".Not going back I am afraid.

Food has always been good, never had any problems until tonight. Payed for my order on sum up similar price to previous orders. I then received another text for a payment of £5 to sum up, I phoned to ask what the FIVER was for to be told its the delivery charge, when I said we haven't paid delivery previously I was told 'yes you have, everyone charges delivery nowadays'. This young lady has rubbish customer service and comes across very rude! I told her I wouldn't be ordering from Star Chef again and her reply was, 'no problem oh well'.Shame because previously good service!

Had a takeaway from here last night and it was awful. Reheated noodles for nearly £8, couldn?t eat them they were disgusting. As for the rest of it, pretty dreadful too. Never wasting another £40 on any Chinese takeaway again!Vegetarian options: Loads of vegetables in the meat dishes! Makes it cheaper for them!

Delicious food except of a seaweed which was sweet....awful and....there was a HAIR STICKING OUT OF IT!. Seaweed ended up in the bin together with the rest of our apetite. We did ordered from them for the first time as we were loyal to the competition and I am not sure will we come back.....
