I bought a number of bags of ballast,cement and engineering bricks for a garden upgrade and the prices are reasonable, and they always have plenty of stock. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

We have the worst customer service and extremely costly experience with Wickes I have ever had with any company, big or small. We spent tens of thousands on a kitchen that was delivered incorrectly. (the complete incorrect kitchen was delivered.) Instead of collecting it they said it was our responsibility to dispose of it and they would re send the correct kitchen. They then took 7 weeks to deliver the correct kitchen, delivering it in dribs and drabs over weeks and weeks, after countless calls and complaints and further items delivered incorrectly we finally have the right kitchen. (Which was supposed to be delivered on 12th October.)This has ended up costing us thousands, we have had to live with family temporarily as we had no kitchen and have very young children, which has doubled our commute time to work. We have also had to hire skips to dispose of the incorrect kitchen as they would not collect it and we could not re-sell it as it was bespoke to our home. We have had to pay our kitchen fitter for the time he booked for the original dates as we have had to delay him so many times.Wickes customer service have offered us £125 to resolve the issue and close the complaint. (A skip to dispose of the misdelivered kitchen cost £300 alone). As well as our time spending countless hours on the phone weekly chasing the correct kitchen. They have said it was our fault for booking a kitchen fitter before we knew the correct kitchen arrived. Even though when we informed Wickes that we wished to book our delivery for that date as we had booked a kitchen fitter no one advised we delay him etc. They also said it was our fault for removing the old kitchen before delivery, even though no one advised us to do otherwise and they also said we needed a clear 3 x3 meter space for the kitchen to be delivered, the only way we could have this free space is to remove the old kitchen! Again we told Wickes we were having the old kitchen removed and no one advised us otherwise. When I asked Wickes to point me to where we were advised not to remove our Kitchen and not to book a kitchen fitter, they could not.Our complaint is still on going and we have informed them if this cannot be resolved this side of Christmas we will have no choice but to seek legal aid as we are so out of pocket.

Good customer service and willing to help when necessary.Nice display of kitchens and bathrooms.Seems to be the cheaper place for paint at the moment too.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Having a trade card you get 10% which is very helpful. Good selection of tools and building materials.

1* for the quality of Wickes shower, it didn't even last 6 months, 5* for the customer service. Had help from Richard who firstly got me the spare part, and then Vicky who helped fit it there and then. They both deserve a bonus :)

A poor store for stock. I have visited here twice in the last week for pea gravel, none in stock both times. Visited today for ?postmix?, two split open bags only. This often happens with this store, it must be poorly run as Peterborough doesn?t seem to have this issue

Ordered some materials from here to be delivered, the third party Wickes are using - City Sprint - have now failed to deliver twice and are apparently going to deliver 5 days late on Wednesday. The Wickes staff are brilliant and as helpful as they can be and seem to also be at their wits end with this delivery company. This will be the last time I order anything for delivery from Wickes until they change provider. Thankfully there's a good selection of similar shops very close.

I spent £12000 on 2 bathrooms here. Fine until you get a leak in one, under warranty, and try and get it fixed. One month later still waiting for a reply after visits, phone calls and emails. Water still coming through ceiling. Rubbish after sales service.
