Visited twice. Once for an evening birthday meal. While food was good there was an issue with a beer and the bar staff seemed to think it was funny. Although they apologised and replaced it we felt the reaction was not sincere or professional.
Second time we had drinks on the patio and a girl took our order but after waiting 10 mins and no drinks I went in to order. The bar staff were quite rude and ignored the poor bloke behind me after I finally got our 2 drinks.

The food is excellent (not all the food is this big, but the quality is consistently high) and the staff are really good. It's really worth a visit.

Ate there a couple days ago. Food was edible, nothing out of this world, atmosphere was OK, also, nothing eye-catching or particularly interesting Quite expensive. I was served by a lovely American redhead girl. So that is why I gave a five star review for service, she was absolutely wonderful.

Review for The Black Bull
I recently visited The Black Bull and, unfortunately, my experience was not very good. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, we were told there was no room available, which seemed strange. We were directed to eat in the sports bar, which had no atmosphere at all and was quite uncomfortable. The food was just okay but overpriced for what it was, making the whole experience feel like poor value for money. On top of that, the staff didn?t seem welcoming or happy, which made the visit even less enjoyable. Overall, not a place I?d recommend.

Very good food and generous portions. We had Sunday lunch yesterday and everything tasted freshly home-cooked and delicious. The gammon especially was excellent. Friendly and welcoming staff too. Looking forward to our next trip back

Me and my friend popped in for a few drinks and some dinner the food was amazing couldn?t fault it at all. The staff was amazing and so friendly when we arrived. The only negative was the service we was served by a young brunette girl she was rather rude and spent most of her time on her phone while we was waiting to order. Overall I?d be more than happy to come back for the lovely food. Looking forward to the Christmas menu

Amazing food and great service! Such beautiful entertainment today from Lia Gray ? highly recommend coming here especially in the sunshine with such a large garden and bouncy castle for the kids. No matter the occasion this is the place to go in Cambridgeshire. Such a hidden gem!

Discovered this traditional 16th century pub on our travels and what a find!
A very appealing and intriguing building.
Plenty of outdoor seating in the well kept grounds and once inside the character and charm of the pub could be seen. Instantly greeted and served with a warm welcome by the guy on bar.
Food was fresh, tasted amazing and by the time we finished the pub was very busy. Clearly a popular place for lunch!
We will definitely be back the next time we are passing through. 5 stars all round!!

Great people (with humour and friendly) and good selection of drinks and food. Outdoor seating is amazing. Hopefully they'll be some outdoor heating for the coming months. Lovely place with great people, and definitely worth a visit or return. I'll be back ?
