Peter lane were excellent from start to finish and Matt and his team made our Selling and buying go quickly and efficiently they did a fantastic Job on Marketing our home and it sold in less the 7 days for our full asking price they handled our new property as well and nothing was to much trouble it was a difficult time for us and Peter lane helped make it easier would highly recommend them many thanks .

We sold our house through Peter Lane. Initially the service was great, they got the house on the market with an offer secured very quickly. Unfortunately, the chain got rather challenging, and this is when Peter Lane took their eye off the ball. They would take very long to get back to us and with us constantly having to chase them to keep things moving. It didn't really seem like they were acting in our interest. Only when we pointed out that communication was sorely lacking did they put in a bit of effort to improve. On the contrary, the overall service we got from our vendor's estate agents was nothing short of fantastic and really put Peter Lane to shame.

In my opinion the most over reputabled estate agent in the area. My work with them was a nightmare, on many occasions they just did not show up on the viewing of my house and I was forced to do thier job. They use part time workers to do the viewings and they have no idea what they are selling. Thier negotiating skills with the potential buyers are terrible. I switched to HR estate agent which so far I can honestly recommend.

Peter lane & Partners have been absolutely wonderful, to work with. From the our first enquiry to completing the sale everyone we were in contact with at the office has been amazing. They always worked hard to ensure that we had the best chance of selling and kept us fully informed throughout every stage of the process. I purchased a house that Peter Lane was the agent for. Despite being a credible buyer looking at properties in the range of £0.4m - £0.5m, overall I felt their service was poor:- it took several attempts over the course of a week to try and arrange viewings of properties by both email or phone, which was particularly frustrating given I lived out of area and so had small windows of time to view properties in a fast paced market. In the end I gave up and knocked on the door of the property I particularly wanted to see, which I ended up buying, and arranged directly with the vendor. Whilst the company may blame COVID I would note that I did not experience this with other agents in the area. In particular, another estate agency (Oliver James) were exceptional.- when I did eventually manage to arrange some viewings I felt the agent tried to overly steer us to another property and actually openly compared it to the property I wanted to buy, including criticising it and pointing out its flaws. If I was being sceptical this may have been because the onward purchase was going to be another Peter Lane property / given the agents interaction with the owner they appeared almost friends. If I was a seller I would not be happy that my agent was criticising my property and at the time I did not think it was very professional.- Despite making an offer on a property in the morning I had to chase them later in the day to see if the had communicated that offer to the vendor (they hadn't even tried despite me requesting some level of urgency given I had to leave the area in the next couple of days).- I would get random updates weeks after the event during the legal process. Given I was just liaising with my own agent, solicitors and the vendors directly this wasn't a problem for me but does further highlight the theme that Peter Lane weren't very proactive.I get the impression that the company is a well established brand in the region, is trading off that brand and has therefore got a bit lazy and stopped doing the things it probably did well whilst the brand was established. From what I saw from other agents during the house search process there are more hungry and proactive agents out there that delivered a better service. My views are clearly just based on my transaction and so could be skewed during what is no doubt a challenging COVID impacted period of time - however, based on my experience here I would not use Peter Lane as an agent for a house sale and if you are a buyer I would be prepared to be proactive if Peter Lane is the agent!
