Avoid! Changed my car battery but did not code it (despite being told it needed to be). My car then subsequently had warning lights displayed on the dash, and staff told me that there was nothing they could do. I had to take to a mechanic, who correctly coded the battery and removed the warning lights (at my own expense). Very poor indeed

I was initially quite happy with my service at Halfords today as the customer service rep told us about the motoring scheme and told us that if we signed up today for free then we would get a free air freshener and a pound of our purchase.
It turns out this is a dishonest sales technique to get you to waste £5 on an air freshener you don?t need.
Signing up for the Halfords motor club is supposed to give you a £5 welcome voucher which you should be able to use on your purchase (with a minimum spend) but what the Halfords sales reps have clearly been trained to say is ?would you like to join our motor club. It?s free and if you sign up you?ll get a free air freshener and £1 off your shop? hiding the fact that the air freshener is not required and you should in fact be able to sign up and just get £5 off your shop which is obviously far more helpful that an overpriced air freshener.
I?m very disappointed in these crap sales tactics which are in fact just the staff essentially lying to customers. Easy way to make sure we won?t be coming back again.

I had a 10 point check on my vehicle at Halfords Huntingdon which included checking all lights. 2x bulbs were identified to change and assurance given by the assistant that all others worked. The next day my car was in for MOT and failed 2x lights and Halfords manager said it was down to the customer to check again before going to MOT. He took no responsibility and delivered zero customer service. I will not be using Halfords ever again.

The people who work here are very nice but the overall service is just confusing to me. I purchased a part to be put on my car and made an appointment. When I got there, I waited in the main line and picked up the part and check in for my "appointment" only to find out that you just wait nearby in a first come first serve line?? What's the point of making an appointment if you just have to wait behind people who didn't make appointments? On top of that, the reason I paid the premium for someone to put the part on the car for me was because I thought it would be quicker. But after waiting 15 minutes past my appointment time, I had to google how to put the part on for the person who was paid to put it on for me. The parts are reasonably priced but the labor is a ripoff, which I would expect to pay for convenience but it wasn't convenient at all. Oh well, learned my lesson - I'll do it myself.
