“A fair number of stock lines in the shop, Greggs on-site but their prices are the highest in town. Sainsbury's prices, on average, 4 to 5p/lt cheaper for E10.”

“It's OK, we popped in to pick up some vegan sausage rolls from Greggs but they were out of most stuff. This was at 11.00. Good easy carparking, very clean and fresh service station.”

“Usually fairly quiet and decent prices for fuel for a small town petrol station. Good selection of snacks cricks etc as well. Staff are helpful and polite. Can be a bit tricky getting out if the traffic is busy as its right on a bend. ”

“This petrol station boasts a remarkably spacious forecourt. Even with two vehicles when parked properly for refuelling, there is still room for another vehicle to pass between them comfortably.

The forecourt consists of eight pump bays in total. Six are designated for regular vehicles, equipped with fuel pumps, while two bays cater specifically to HGVs, each featuring two fuel pumps and two AdBlue dispensers.

A recent addition is the striking ‘Shell Recharge’ EV charging station, which is an aesthetically pleasing feature. This dedicated section has six parking bays, with three charging points, and each point fitted with three cables for versatile use.

Opposite the main forecourt is a designated area for two new ‘vacuum, air, and fragrance’ machines. This space can easily accommodate five vehicles if parked correctly. The machines are well-spaced, ensuring there’s enough room for customers to park, walk around their vehicles, and use the facilities without feeling cramped. However, sometimes the vacuums are clogged due to inconsiderate customers leaving the vacuum nozzles in the dirt and bushes whilst still running.

The staff here are exceptionally polite and friendly, always willing to go above and beyond to assist customers. I’ve personally witnessed the store manager printing traditional navigation routes for those unfamiliar with modern satnav systems and helping individuals who struggled to inflate their tyres. What more could one ask for?

The store maintains a reasonably well-kept Water Closet, featuring a toilet, wash basin, hand wash, and air dryer. Admittedly, it can be difficult to keep in pristine condition due to some inconsiderate customers who fail to clean up after themselves.

Additionally, the store offers hot food and baked goods, both of which are surprisingly tasty. It has two Costa coffee dispensing machines as well. However, despite being open 24/7, unfortunately our access to the store and its amenities are limited to 05:00-23:00 due to safety reasons as I understand.

Nevertheless, the fuel payments and the purchasing of essentials can be made through the night window. However unfortunately, the luxuries of Costa coffee are limited during the night, as I understand the machines need to be deep cleaned every night.

In summary, this is an excellent petrol station with much to commend it.”

“I go here nearly everyday to fill up, I need to choose my words carefully, the ladies in petrol station are efficient, pleasent but there are no smiles anymore. I do appreciate that they work hard and they see lots of customers.......BUT petrol and diesel is soooo expensive I'm sumising (probably spelt wrong,sorry) we don't want to go to the petrol station as much as they don't want to see us.Please could we have the smiles back or if they don't want to be there then let them go where they will be happy.This is just very personal opinion and I wonder if any of you feel the same. “A huge thank you to Jay or J at Brampton Hut services on 21st September 2022 at approximately 13.00. Whilst travelling south on the A1 a tyre sensor started to warn of loss of pressure. I visually checked the tyres on the hard shoulder and decided to drive on to Brampton Hut services. There I started to use the digital tyre inflation system but was not successful. I walked into the shop to explain the problem and ask for help as I needed to get my husband to the dentist. Jay was a perfect, caring, young gentleman who donned gloves and a Hi Vis jacket and came to help. Nothing was too much trouble, we were obviously concerned and he was most reassuring even offering to get us coffee.I sincerely hope that an M&S or BP manager reads this review and ensures that Jay's excellent customer service is acknowledged in some way.”

“Wonderful self hand-gun car wash!Its just from £2 per few minutes, very powerful and handy pressure washer.Please keep it mind you should wipe out your car by yourself immediately after, othewise the white watermark remain easily due to the ‘hard‘ water in this region, I suppose.”

“I had a car collision on Sunday night near this petrol station and I have been there held by rubbish company AA that never showed up and messed me about with getting me at least taxi back home which was an hour and half drive at night. They keep cancelling on me etc. long story short I been so traumatised and stuff that worked that night named Amanda and Alex were so amazing to me and helpful that this 8h over night till 6:20 in the morning was very supporting and made me feel that I am not alone helped my mental state. I wanted to thank them so much and I wish people like this were everywhere I swear. The next day when I came with my partner to try fix my car another lady was working that evening and she was very sweet to me. Please keep stuff like this appreciated and I hope I will see them soon one day but just passing by ? thank you again!”
