I?ve been a regular at this Coop for quite some time, and I?ve always appreciated the friendly, welcoming atmosphere?especially from the local staff. Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me quite disappointed.
Though I don?t visit often, I went in today with my dog. I walked directly to the checkout to quickly purchase something and leave, without wandering around the store. However, the staff member in charge, Sam, immediately informed me that dogs were not allowed and asked me to leave. I completely understood the policy and left without issue.
What really left me frustrated, though, was the lack of empathy when I asked for some quick assistance. Having worked in customer service for over 20 years, I understand the importance of good human relations alongside good service. When I asked if he could assist me in any way, he responded curtly, stating that he wasn?t a pet sitter.
Such a dismissive attitude only adds to the growing sense of disconnect in the world. It?s unfortunate that this experience has left me with a negative impression of what was once a very friendly, local place. I?ve decided that, moving forward, I?ll be avoiding this Coop as much as possible.
Thank you, Coop, for your previous service, but this experience has sadly changed my view.

Handu local shop and all the staff are very friendly

Shame they are getting rid of the co-op points, I was saving them for my retirement. Have had to turn them into liquid assets - beer mostly.

Expensive as is everywhere. Some staff are friendly and others barely a grunt and didn't offer to pack.
