Friendly atmosphere, a single is 35ml which is great, ciders / beers are reasonably priced (around £5), pizzas are delicious and the quiz night is always fun.

Brilliant atmosphere, brilliant pub and brilliant Guinness. Bar owners are so welcoming and friendly and pour a good pint too. Nice and affordable too!

Cozy pub with a nice outdoor kitchen and great Pizzas.Very welcoming owners and lots of parking space.Only drawback is the proximity of the smokers to the entrance.

Set in a very quiet remote village, The chequers is a hidden gem. First time here on a quiet Saturday afternoon we ordered a couple of drinks & snacks and relaxed in the garden. Bob and Wendy were very welcoming and we had a good chat which made us feel comfortable amongst the locals. We shall be along again for pizza next time!!

They have the best pizzas I have ever tasted and they are made fresh in the outside pizza oven. You get to choose your own toppings and you can have as many as you like. They also have the most beautiful hanging baskets I have ever seen.
