Stopped of for lunch on a Tuesday. Had the pie of the day, ham, pea and cheese. It was a proper pie, with a pastry bottom and top, with plenty of meat filling, not the couple of pieces that seems common these days. was home made and delicious. For pudding had the homemade cheesecake, lovely and smooth. Beer was good too. Food took a little while to come as it was cooked to order which i am perfectly happy with. All in all we had a lovely meal, served by lovely staff. Would recommend .

We chose this as an end point for our cycle. 3 meals, some meat some veggie, all delicious. Really friendly staff. Really lovely village pub.

Very enjoyable evening with an interesting and generous menu. Visiting from NZ, so an archetypal English experience for an ex Pom! Recommended.

We popped in for lunch today. Was served by Rose straight away.
We opted for Fish & chips from the lunch menu. Absolutely lovely tasting fish, chips were chunky peas fresh and tartar sauce was very creamy. Absolute bargin at £8:00 each.

We had a lovely evening here with delicious food and good service. The pub is spacious, with outdoor and indoor seating and a homely feel. I had the steak, which was amazing, so tender, and my partner had the yummy pie. Highly recommend this pub!
