Just what we were looking for. Great sleep/ bed
July 2025 by Lolza Vlogs
On arrival we found multiple hairs in the bath, a dead flea in the bath and a live flea in the bed bouncing around the following day, no wonder I was itching my legs all night! As well as that the room smelt like damp dog and the pillows were extremely uncomfortable.
Loud guests in the room above made for an unpleasant sleep, constantly walking around in the room above us at 12:30-2am in the morning, really loud thudding and one guy shouting on his phone outside in the early hours having an argument meaning we had to close our windows on a warm night.
I understand this is a budget hotel, (still paid £63.99 for it) but you hope to get A) a good level of cleanliness and B) A Good nights sleep.
We will not be returning to this disgusting hovel of a motel.

Excellent staff especially sherry, very helpful and caring. Only thing is there's only a shell garage for food nearby. Although Barry's plaice in Hunstanton is absolutely gorgeous fish and chips, well recommended. And only 2 miles away. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst my partner was on a business trip. I honestly do not know what all the complaining is about.
The beds are really comfy and actual double beds instead of 2 singles together. Radiators in the room, so very warm on a cold winters night too!
Theres a carpark outside with loads of spaces and its free.
Garage nearby with hot food and drinks 24/7 so despite the hotel not offering that, youre not going to starve or dehydrate whilst here.
The staff are absolutely lovely. James has been a highlight of the trip for me with his friendly demenour and advice regarding the local area.
The hotel itself is clean, tidy and very good value for money. I saw the robotic vaccumes seversl times as they thrive to keep a tidy living environment.
Despite being opposite the A1, you cant hear the traffic at all.
Only downside is the burger king isnt up and running but thats not something the hotel can control!!
Dog friendly, so our pooch was able to come too! And theres green areas all around so its not like she had to walk forever to have a night time piddle either which is a problem at other hotels.
Overall, great value for money.

The room is basic but clean and provides everything you need for an overnight stay. My room cost about £40 so I don't feel you could legitimately complain about the room. It's a room for the night by the side of the A14. It really is just somewhere to rest after a day of travelling, accept it for what it is.

Great staff, clean rooms & was quiet.
Got to express how good the staff were, very friendly without coming across as over friendly for their job.

This Travelodge has a mattress issue. I managed to skin my shin getting in to bed. The mattress is based around a metal frame. It has poor fabric protection. Angela, the lovely receptionist, went and checked all the other mattresses in the motel, and found that they are the same. So be aware. The comfort level is low as the mattress is not a patch on the revamped Travelodge rooms. And the place smells bad. Like wet dog and dirty vacuums. This is a sad little motel that also benefits from a burnt out Burger King building next door. I cannot recommend it in any shape or form. Do yourself a favour and avoid. Just cos it's cheap, don't make it good.
