It was fine for a short overnight stay, but no bar or restaurant on site and only a local petrol station for food and drink.

My inital review was deleted so I am reposting. I would not stay here again. To start the main reception staff were very rude, telling me I had come to the wrong place even when I showed them my booking. I don't think they wanted to do their job to be honest. It is on the side of a noisy main road. The windows did not shut properly. The doors had regular keys (not keycards) that could not be locked from the inside of the room? The room itself was not clean, it was like a new duvet cover and towels were put in the room. There is no food facilities in the building at all. And there is a abandoned Burger King in the carpark.

Spent one night here on our way to Dartford. Service was excellent and the rooms were spotless. A bit of noise from the road but all in all a good night. Intend going back for a break to see the Fens in the future.

Convenient and easy with the dogs. Good room, with plenty of space for them to lay down.

Absolutely terrible behaviour from the night staff! At 11.50pm I was woken by my door being opened from the hallway by a very drunk man, when I encouraged him into the hallway I found a staff member there who had taken him up to the room with a physical key ( not a card key) after he insisted my room was his. There was no apology for the mistake and disturbance, when I enquired in the morning I was told the only key other than the one I had was the staff master key, so why did another customer have this key? No one can explain it.Customer services have been very unhelpful so far. I was travelling alone with my young son, if hadn't woken up I dread to think what might have happened.

I can?t really fault a lot about this Travel Lodge. What more can you expect for a short stay hotel on the A14?Too see such sour reviews was a bit of a shock to be honest, and lots of them irrelevant to the hotel itself, it?s in no fault of this Travel Lodge that the Burger King is closed, nor is it their fault that the rooms are outdated, this is all up to higher management, not the staff.I?m giving a special mention to a member of staff called James who went out of his way to make us feel welcome and accommodated during our stay! He made sure we had everything we needed and definitely adds a positive attribute to this hotel. However, another employee working on desk on the second night who I didn?t catch his name, was quite different, and was very abrupt and not as welcoming, giving us quite a polar opposite experience. The rooms were clean, but definitely need a revamp, ie more sockets near the bed, and a paint job !Thanks again James ! You really made our stay special.

It is located in the middle of nowhere, and unlike other Travelodge hotels, it lacks facilities such as a restaurant or a place to eat. Have to travel away to get something to eat. No Uber Eats, Deliveroo, or Just Eat. They advertise the hotel as providing breakfast but don't be fooled by that. What you get is a box with orange juice and cornflakes. I'm very disappointed.Rooms: Very basic.Nearby activities: None. There is a Burger King which was closed down during the Pandemic.Walkability: Need to drive to the location to get around. You can't access it by walking, and taxis cost an arm and a leg.Food & drinks: Only food or drinks available were from a vending machine.

Friendly and helpful day staff. Rooms were OK however in my first room I had found bugs in and on my bed. Made staff aware and changed my room. Soured experience due to bugs.

It's cheap and as usual you get what you pay for. An average Travelodge, a bit tired looking and in an uninspiring location. Don't expect to eat at the Burger King that's still showing next door on googlemaps: it's closed. The rooms could do with a rethink (more than two sockets would be good!). The room looked clean but bed and towels smelled a bit fusty.
