Fantastic venue, beverages on draught are the crispest lagers I have ever tasted. Alternating ale selection to keep varied flavours alive. Large option of spirits available with varied tonics. The service is absolutely fantastic catering to your needs in anyway available including allergens. The food menu has been crafted to excellence and the food produced is all cooked fresh and tastes amazing. This venue has a large premise with a bar and restaurant area which creates a rather relaxed vibe or a vibe for diners who prefer a more chilled evening. Rooms are fantastic and clean. Sunday roasts have been amazing during numerous visits, having a carvery is fantastic and rare to find in the area. To summarise I?d recommend everyone visits this venue wether it be for food or beer, fantastic!

Brought the family here for a meal. The carvery was brilliant and the roast potatoes were also brilliant. The chilrens food was very good. Puddings were also very good. The welcome and service was excellent. Will definitely have to come back.

Came for the special menu Asian dinner. 2 courses for £25 or 3 for £30. First off I'd like to say the staff were absolutely lovely and friendly and the ambiance of the pub was great. Very friendly regulars and dogs!
We had the crispy duck pancake starter for 2. It came in a stacked bamboo basket which looked great but the pancakes were cold and the crispy duck was literally minced on a bed of lettuce with a pot of hoi sin and the obligatory cucumber and spring onion strips. There really wasn't enough duck for 2 and it would have been so much better shredded rather than tiny chopped up pieces which were falling through the slats of the bamboo basket. Half the fun is the crispy skin and there wasn't any which was a disappointment. We both had the crispy chilli chicken main course, one with jasmine and one with egg fried rice. It was nicely presented but if I'm honest the appeal of Thai food is the freshness and this really tasted like any sauce from a jar with the crispy chicken being rather soggy and the rice quite dry. For the price for 2 courses each plus drinks I was a little disappointed. This review is in no way meant to offend but as we were the only people eating I would have expected it to taste much more freshly cooked. Maybe the Asian menu is still being developed as there are 2 other main courses and several starters which could potentially be much better so I hope this is taken only as constructive critisism. The pub itself lovely though.
