It's a medium size Tesco with an opticians, Costa Coffee, small Bureau De Change and cash machines. You can buy food, clothing, electrical and home items here. There is a seperate petrol station with a car wash attached to it. Not much to say really. You will witness some of the worst driving and parking you will ever see in your life here. I once saw an old dear drive her Micra down the main walkway, totally oblivious to the families and other people diving for cover!!!

Situated near the train station this Tesco is a medium sized store that stocks a small range of clothes and electricals as well as the usual groceries. Its certainly not the easiest Tesco to drive to the carpark and find a parking space near the store. If you are leaving the store with a heavy trolley the walkways leading out to the cars are sloped making steering difficult. The store itself is clean and well stocked with plenty of space. I love the addition of Costa Coffee last year. They also have a garage and a good sized recycling area.

Tesco have a monopoly on the area as a cheaper supermarket - sure there is a Waitrose in the city centre, but this cannot cater for most family's weekly shopping. Tesco play up this fact, especially with their petrol prices. Despite the price of oil having come back down to last year's prices, we are still paying more for our petrol. The store itself is kept clean and well-stocked. Staff are always willing to help with anything you need, such as locating an item. The new addition of a Costa coffee shop and the opticians make it literally a one-stop shop.

Althougha large chain Tescos Ely still has the customer service of a small store. When I was looking for one particular item for a charity event we were doing they went out of their way to help, even though they couldn't. I would receommend this store. On the downside when you are pushing a large trolley out of the shop with laods of shopping and children it is very hard to push this around the corner to the baby spaces due to the steep incline towards the door.

Tesco is Ely now offers a costa coffee, an optician and money exchange service (very helpfull and cheaper than at the airport). The made a real effort to make this tesco nicer. of course it also got the normal food ;)
